Yea he smashed on Alonzo.. but that dunk in the Olympics was the best in-game EVER!!💯
A little bit a trivia: the guy Carter dunk on, Frederic Weis, was drafted by the New York Knicks. Ed Tapscott, the guy that drafted him thought he was going to be Patrick Ewing's replacement. Weis never played a single second in the NBA.
@@williamwalsh1533 He also tried to kill himself due to the disappointment of his career turning out
@@williamwalsh1533 he was like " They jump like THAT over there? Naaaaah, I'm good...".....
And it's not even close!
ben1ben2ben1
"That escalated quickly..."
This may have been the most entertaining conversation on Countdown. Everyone loves reminiscing about Half-Man Half-Amazing.
Youngsters today don't know him like we know him. Dude was like Blake Griffin with a jumper. Greatest dunker ever
Half man all amazing*
Half Man, All Amazing
When he jumped over that guy in the Olympics, France went to the UN and complained that the US violated its airspace
Deja Voodoo Brilliant!!
He actually dunked that guy into retirement.
Very clever lol
He regretted doing that to destroy that guy’s career when he was older.
Vince "it's over ladies and gentlemen" carter
Give this man a raise∆∆
Let's go home!
No D VC
*Kenny Smith voice*
break out the salami and cheese
For me, this was the best facial in-game NBA dunk by the greatest dunker of all time Vincent Lamar Carter. My favorite player of all time, legend and hall of famer.
....on the Top 5 greatest Blocker of all time
mjaay top 5? I like Zo, but I say he was more in the top 10
Onions!!!
Yep me too, favorite player of all time
Wow my middle name Lamar and last name carter too 😂😂😂
Respect on Jalen pointing out his 3ball, 6th most career 3s in history! Set a playoff 3 point record in 2001 ECF! Dude was bananas at the time.
My dad took me to that game for my 12th birthday. That dunk was insane. Heat came away with the win but all I remember was dropping a F-bomb in front of my dad after that dunk lol
I was at that game too. That was the year Miami won its first 2006.
I was there too smoking 420 in the washroom during break
😂
Vince Carter definitely deserves a statue at the Air Canada centre. VC inspired a generation of young Canadian basketball players.
Without Carter, there is no Andrew Wiggins, Alexander-Walker, Gilegious-Alexander, Kelly Olynyk, Cory Joseph, Trey Lyles, Tristan Thompson, Dwight Powell, Dillon Brooks, and Anthony Bennett.
All of these players are in their 20s and (except for Trey Lyles) grew up in Toronto, the Toronto metro area, or a city in Ontario.
The "Vince Carter Effect" on these players and others who I cannot remember is immeasurable.
The only other three Canadian basketball players I can think of that played before VC arrived to Toronto:
Rick Fox
Jamaal Magloire
Steve Nash.
Fox and Magloire are from Toronto.
Steve Nash is Vancouver or Victoria...he is West Coast.
“Still doin’ windmills” 😂😂
VC had the most flawless dunk contest performance of all time. That "arm in the rim" set a new standard for dunks... not to mention jumping over a 7 footer in a game...
I remember a friend of mine in the 90s talking about someone that he saw playing a pickup game out East...saying he could jump out of the gym. It was Vince Carter and this was before he ever played even a single college game. Mr Longevity, has lasted a long time.
i know Vince personally and have worked with him, he is a great guy!!!
The first NBA jersey I ever had was of Vince Carter when he was on New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets
He has a statue here in Daytona Beach at his high school.
Mainland
yup
What hs?
High school... retires at 42...
My love for Vince is real! It has no opposite! 🥰
I love Vince! The Immortal Vince Carter! That dunk he had over France 7’3 center immortalized him in basketball history.
vince is a legend. mad respect, at 22 years in can get a job over melo LOl. dam
What happens when u put ego aside
@@Br99klynINg24_8 exactly!!!
Obviously melo is a better player rn than vince, that's not the issue with Melo. He's for sure in the Top 150 of all 450 player in the NBA; Vince Carter is pretty much around the 250th mark, in all honesty.
@@octopus8420 no
@@octopus8420 Vince per 36min stats last year were better than Melo's ..and Melo is 9 years younger ..Melo is a uni-dimensional volume scorer ..that is it. He does nothing else remotely good ! Portland will regret signing him, even if they're desperate !
Kudos to VC for taking all of the ups and downs of professional bball with grace and humility. Yo d man Vince...
Fun fact: Vince and RJ both had multiple dunks on Zo that game. I remember watching it live
Im 49, Ive watched at least 4 decades of basketball. Greatest in-game dunker I've ever seen.
VC ba-by!!
This guy is timeless!
VC has been my boy since 98. That's crazy to say and Its crazy to think back that far, watching my favorite basketball player on t.v. against Kobe and shaq and tmac, Iverson. Yet VC is timeless and still out there. Crazy man, it will be sad when we hangs it up....
Tbh Vince is the most Athletic player of all time. The young VC clips speak for itself but this man is in his 40s still able to do between the legs dunks/ 360s
When I started my ball career I chose number #15 because of Vince!!! 🐐🐐🐐🐐
Vincesanity 💯💯💯💯 then nets days were classic him and RJ 2 of the best dunkers in the league in the same team and jkidd dishing them alleys man classic days
I was watching that game as a kid. Can’t forget Rj dunked on Zo as well. Zo got dunked on a few times that game.
Of course he should have a statue in Toronto. He put Toronto on the map! He elevated that whole franchise!
It’s amazing how the NBA is able to promote every generation of their talents into true legends of the sport. Kareem and Wilt, Magic and Bird, Jordan and Barkley, Kobe and Mcgrady.
“Thats what u get” 😭😭😭
VC deserves a statue in Toronto. He essentially saved the NBA in Canada. If it weren’t for him, I don’t think the Raps stay in Toronto, woulda suffered the same fate as the Vancouver Grizzlies
he does deserve a statue here in toronto. he’s the reason why we have the raptors. look at vancouver, they memphis now.
Gotta respect the love of the game that VC has...this is about to be his 4th decade in the league...Half Man, Half Amazing indeed💯
Dude in the turtleneck looks like a Bond villain
nope he is more of the incredibles movie
😂
My comment was meant as a compliment. The man looks sharp!
Crazy thing about the dunk RJ and Vince had already dunked on him before that 😂
YUP! RJ got him twice, VC got him once...think that was all in the first half. At halftime they both agreed that Zo wasn't gonna take getting yammed on again without bodying 'em, so they had to be ready for that. And that's exactly what VC did with that left arm, before cocking it back and smashing it down. It's as filthy a dunk as I've ever seen...so bad that Zo (who was good friends with Vince until then) didn't speak to him for seven years lol. Neither would I tbf...
What's going to be sick is when VC is 60 and throws down a windmill for old time's sake.
Vince, you've had a good career. You know what to do.
The Carter Effect!!He and Mj will always be my icon in basketball
Greatest dunker of all time!!! END OF STORY
I Agree
D Heisenberg right I think everybody knows that
@@Reeddollaz14 nope some argue dominique wilkins some mj
D Heisenberg oh word everybody I talk too say Vince
D Heisenberg but Vince is still doing it put some RESPEK ON IT LOL
what I love most about Vince is that when he was out of his prime he didnt start calling up his homies and team hopping to hunt a championship because he KNEW that it wouldnt be the same as if he was the #1 guy.... it wouldnt count and he knew it... RESPECT
Vince has to be in amazing shape.
I need Vince to play 25 years.
My favorite player and the best dunker in nba history! It's not even debatable
Indeed half man half amazing.👏
Vince “ Let’s go Home! Let’s go Home ladies and gentleman” Carter
Best nba dunker of all time..
Greatest dunker of all time
Can`t wait to see this guy ( Vince ) on the air, at ESPN studio
Vince Carter still chasing the ring!!
"...still doin' windmills!" lol
Well deserved!! 🔥🔥🔥 VC cold 🥶
He has a statue here, in our hearts =)
Vince Carter the man that time forgot ,he is still half man half amazing 42 years young
Definitely should have a statue in Toronto. He put that team on the map.
Carter left his team to attend his college graduation DURING THE PLAYOFFS.
William Walsh Still put them on the map regardless
@MARC D. if he hadn't, Toronto might not have lasted. No expansion team is guaranteed to stay in the league.
William Walsh to a lot of people, a college degree is more important
Can't wait to see clips in the future with a 60-year old Vince teaching his grandchild how to pull up windmills and tomahawks 💪🏽
Statue in Toronto? Absolutely!
Vince Carter 💎💎
VC and TB12 are both 42. Two legends. They should do a commercial together
Can we give him a tour🧐
HALF MAN HALF AMAZING
People forget that he dunked on Zo Mourning twice in that game....Facts 100
Half Man Half Amazing they have to put Vince Carter in top 15 player of all time he is one of the best ever and soo experienced Best Dunker Ever
My favorite dunk of all time..
The most sick dunk in basketball history happened in 2000 Olympics.
windmills and eastbays at the age of 42, who else does that? hes ageless!
Vince Carter is a likable guy!
The best dunk in nba history
Give dat man his due. PUT SUM RESPEK ON HIS NAME
I loooooove my Vince❤️🌟🥰🙋🏼♀️
Dunk contest 2020 needs vince Carter
Half man half amazing!!!
My MY I love VC
As a Toronto Fan. VC made toronto Basketball. However the way he left Toronto left a sour taste. Every raptor fan hated him. Fast forward, we forgave him and buried the hatchet. He has received standing ovations and tributes since then. Does Air Canada Carter deserve statue in toronto. NO!!. would it be nice to see him retire in toronto. YES!!!
Love VC , I hope he gets a ring
RJ yammed on Mourning too same game if memory serves me right but wasn't as sweet lolz
Shaq and Vince are probably the greatest players that have played for that many teams
Vc.... humble unground goat frfr hands down he was Dunking like Jordan
Salute to Vince Carter one of the G.O.A.T.
Half man half amazing
Legend
As a raptors fan, there’s no denying what VC means for the franchise, but there will be no monument out side for him.
Agreed, they would have one of kawhi 1st before that.
Exactly... Not a big build a Statue Guy but I would say Kyle Lowry first if anyone......
He deserves a ring!!!
Vinsanity is truly father time and that dunk was nasty thats what you call a badakadunk
We understand molly is Jalen wife but he thinks everyone sleep on everything!
Vinsanitour this Season
Always been a VC fan
Love VC
Definitely Deserves a statue in T Dot
Jay Williams tripping, he had a triple double on New Jersey in 03 (26/14/13)', Vince was still in Toronto
VINCE!!!!!!!
Look man Jordan can’t win everything lol. Carter is the greatest dunker of all time
I totally agree...not as great as MJ and MJ did have crazy dunks, but VC takes it to the next level especially with one-hand alley-oop catches!
Kevin Masters mjs dunks aren’t even impressive tbh
@@Sam-oe4dt Please...let's be honest here! MJ's dunks are legendary!
@Mikeman Jordan He didn't. But still top 3 best dunkers of all time.
VC’s best two feet dunkers of all time, but MJ’s fast break one leg dunk through traffic is best. Different style but I will still go with MJ.
Kemp was awesome too.
The best dunker ever!!!!!!!
One that thing they agreed and we all agree with-VC is the best dunker of all ti.e.
J Will, sorry we can’t just give him the best dunk ever trophy. Dominique was amazing.
He really is half man- half amazing
Most people from Toronto would want a Vince statute.
That Maria Taylor is fiiiiiiine🐶
Weis can't deny this fact.
Half man, half amazing
He should be inducted into the hall of fame before retiring.
VinSanity!
