Already been playing my way through opening bars. The middle section is giving me a few headaches - much like your Liszt-y bit in Pure Imagination - difficult to make the melodic line flow and not sound jerky or forced - but that’s my skill level not your arranging! It’s a lovely arrangement and we’ll worth the time.
@@willwest4736 You are too modest. I found your upload on SoundCloud and really enjoyed it. The middle section is indeed rather tricky, particular bars 45-48 where you have to play the very widely spread LH chords on first beats without losing the flow.

Oh Shucks, thanks! Yes, those were the tricky bars - and the appasionata section was pretty tough! Really lovely though and enjoyed playing it immensely - I’ll be pulling this one out after a couple too many gin and tonics at family gatherings I reckon!

1:23 - Interestingly, the left hand in bars 38-41 plays a Swing rhythm on audio, the eighth notes in sync with the third notes of the triplets in the R.H. But I think I like the slight polyrhythm more, just the way it is written in the sheet music in this video.
I just had a careful listen and you are correct there. The polyrhythm is intended though, but I just didn't play it accurately, which is tricky as LH is jumping around quite a bit in that passage.
Hi Rupert, and I'd like to clarify about the bar 80, R.H. (2:54) Is the second triplet eighth "D" a typo, or was that the intention? It's just that on the audio you played "C".

Hello Jose. Glad you like it, and thanks for the purchase. I had incorrectly assumed that people were not really bothered about the chord names, but several comments like yours tell me that people find them useful. They will reappear in future arrangements.

Bars 50-51 at about 1:55 sounds strange and dissonant when I play them? Are the accidentals correct inasmuch that they're kept for the whole bars?

I have checked and all the notation is correct, and all accidentals are indeed kept for each whole bar. There is a lot of dissonance in that section but once your fingers are running smoothly over those bars it should sound fine.
There's nothing wrong there. The notes are written exactly as they sound on the audio.

ciararespect4296, Maybe if you have an acoustic instrument that has not been tuned for a long time. Otherwise, pieces with jazz harmonies need to be performed elegantly, or they can sound "dirty". It's also important to have a feel for solid melodic lines. When you're just starting to learn a piece, even in the classics there are many examples where it can seem messy-sounding in the early stages of learning a piece.
I've heard some performances of Rupert's arrangements by other people. For example, "Over the Rainbow", and it sounded disgusting, although the notes were performed correctly.
