I mean we all know Africas infrastructure is always second rate, shabby, tired, unprofessional and needs a lot to be desired, but this start is better than nothing and as they go along they'll improve, become more professional and proud and effective. Hopefully.
I hope the same effort is applied by SANDF to protect the Manguzi and Mozambique border and combat car theft crimes this is getting worse as these criminals are killing people who fight agianst them freely coz they know nothing will happen to them. They are now doing as they please.
Typical South Africa acting as if their are the only ones who is on the ground.. we cannot forget that When we first asked for help South Africa didn't come but Rwanda was the first one sending 1000 soldiers to help people and have done a good job, South Africa came late maybe trying to get the minerals too... South Africa wants to benefit from it that is why they are promoting themselves. They many militaries in cabo Delgado from other African countries to help Mozambique but they are not so loud..
All I'm seeing is luxurious unnecessary expenditure of state resources... This troops live a soft life in this base with flushing toilets and mobile network connection 😹🤷♀️... Their mission with all the resources provided by the state should have been executed in a matter of 3 weeks...total removal of the rebel forces in Mozambique. All I see is that our SANDF is spoiled by its government... And the presence of women in this army just shows a whole different side to SA.... I'm doubtful that this army is as capable as they report. It has not been helpful to it's own citizens... all that it has been is looting and being used by international bullies to execute missions on its behalf
Come here and fight the insurgents yourself then, since you know better on how to conduct a military operation. If you aren't prepared to do that, then I suggest you leave it to the professionals.
It's a pity y'all haven't seen the incompetence of the SANDF. There's this narrative spread by the media and political figures that we have a defense force. I have not "in my lifetime" seen the need and service of the SANDF. It's politically commanded and a useless form of expense in Mzanzi. Cry all you want... The SANDF is not helping at all. Let them release progress let's see what they had done in this long month's... absolutely nothing but driving around tarred roads far away from the insurgent area. ANC never does anything right. They collapsed DENEL , what do you expect of the SANDF if DENEL was collapsed to the ground
Ems like our military is under equipped, how are you not issuing night vision nods to troops for night patrols and why are those battle rifles R5 not equipped with optics??? Why are the troops also not carrying a back up side arm???????
