@@ananaskarandash1060 Destructo disk is one of the most broken moves in the show, it cuts through anything making it a literal 1 hit kill move (why it never lands). Rasen Shiruken is strong but doesn’t cut through Madara like he were a steak. Krillen cuts enemies who are leagues stronger than him, enemies where every other attack he uses are useless
Let's never forget the fact that Krillin specifically and deliberately developed a brand new type of ki move whose sole purpose is to kill an enemy in a single hit.
Isn't that the point for most ki moves? Hell, Piccolo created the Special Beam Cannon just to kill Goku.

I love how in the earlier episodes they actually struggled to form these kind of special attacks. In the newer ones they just pull giant planet killers out of their asses in half a second.

It could also kill perfect cell. The part in the anime where he hits perfect cell from behind and nothing happened to cell is not canon in the manga. So we know not for sure how strong it was against cell in the manga.
If Vegeta hadn't warned Nappa to dodge the destructo disc, things could have turned out very different.

I always wonder, would Vegeta be pissed off that Krillin actually managed to kill Nappa and go on a rage? Or would he be impressed with him? And I wonder how much of an impact that would have had on Vegeta's impression of Krillin going forward. From instead of just another one of the puny earthlings who couldn't hold out against a Saiyan to actually having killed his companion.

Our roommate used to save the round cardboard from frozen pizza boxes to reuse them, and I would use them to throw destructo discs at evil doers outside

I hate how Toei turned Destructo Disc, one of the most dangerous techniques in the entire Dragon Ball universe into a simple energy ball with a disc format.

I feel like that at this point Krillin should only use Destructor Disk as a defensive skill. I'm glad that he learned to control them, but they may be easier to cut down a large ki blast rather than hit a speedy target.

If only they could make the other characters more prevalent or at least more useful than comedic relief and slice-of-life moments. The only fight scene Krillin has had in Super is training for TOP and then the TOP in which he is kicked out after his first actual fight! He had one job, and Toriyama couldn't even let him stay in the ring until a few other universes got knocked out!!!

This, Yamcha's Spirit Ball, Tien's Solar Flare.... when old Dragonball put more creativity into special moves.
Yeah, even in GT, you can see progression in characters’ movesets, like Vegeta’s Final Shine Attack, or Goku’s 10x Kamehameha and Dragon Fist.
In Super, every single attack is just the same as it was in Z. No progression whatsoever beyond new hair colors and auras.

The destructo Disk, as simple of a technique as it may be, is still one of the best ones of the whole show. It, and the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, are really threatening for what they are, and imagine them being combined

The destructo disc suddenly exploding into numerous smaller ones is arguably THE most lethal move in the entire series against non-regenerating opponents.
Movies and filler episodes just spitting on the power of the move is just sad to see honestly. Potentially can cut freeza into pieces, 30 eps later a random filler henchmen CATCHES IT WITH HIS BARE HANDS.

@@hitkid2456 The garlic jr guy actually caught it with his bare hands. Gohan used his energy to block the discs, which is a far more acceptable way to block it imo.

The first one should have been proof to everyone that the humans, especially the strongest one, are not to be ignored. He almost took out Nappa in one hit and everyone forgets it, if not for Vegeta he would have died much sooner.

At least it does something to its target. Unlike Vegeta's Big Bang Attack which only worked on that fat Android and didn't even do anything to anyone else it's thrown at. Kienzan is still way better than that simple Ki Blast Vegeta calls Big Bang Attack.

So out of all of this, most of the Destructo Disks come from movies and filler. The anime writers remember more of Toriyama's character's signature moves than Toriyama himself.

Yes, thank you! I've been looking everywhere for that Krillin moment! At least the Dragon Ball Super anime did Krillin Justice in the Tournament of Power! In the manga he literally gets eliminated right when the Tournament begins without him having a chance to do anything!
Wish Tien got any meaningful screentime. Bro should be the strongest human, he's the only one who was able to box with Goku back during orignial Dragon Ball and he NEVER stopped training unlike Krillin and Roshi.

Bro how could you forget one of the most legendary destructo disks ever, whenever first absorbs android 18 and becomes perfect cell, krillin throws a destructo disk and it hits cell straight in thr neck and doesnt even phase through, its this incredible animation where the disk that doesnt hit his body keeps going but the disk stops that little bit and is one of my favorite scenes

You've actually missed one. When cell reaches his perfect form, Krillin, throws a disk at Cell, and it shatters on his neck.
Which is the stupidest thing. They could have shown the disc actually cutting cell (not the nape but a limb) and him regenerating it back. You'd achieve the same effect as the original but not at the expense of downplaying the destructo disc

Man this is a sick video. I keep forgetting that Krillin is technically the strongest human on earth and his DISC has always been lethal and scary.
At first thought, it really seems like Krillin could have ended things withhis Destructo Disk, but the only person he could have really killed was Nappa and that's because he was slow. Other than him, Vegeta and Frieza were too smart to get and by the time Cell comes around Krillin's attacks were too weak.
Couldn't he use solar flare against Vegeta and Frieza before using destructo disk?
