  • Hilary Graves is Vineyard & Grower Relations Manager at Booker and she is a winegrower, winemaker and viticulture educator with more than 20 years of field experience on California’s Central Coast.
Here she tells us how she believes farmers have a huge amount of power to sequester carbon, probably more than any other sector other than oil/gas. Farmers can capture carbon and hold it in the soil. The number of acres involved means scaling this up can have a huge impact.
They've seen a huge increase in biodiversity from cover crops with an eleven species mix this year. More insects and birds are an indicator of a healthy environment.
Booker Vineyard is a highly acclaimed 60-acre estate in Paso Robles. It was officially designated as Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) in the fall of 2023, following certification from California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) in 2021.
