I finally left town to see my best friend (down in San Diego)...I haven't been out overnight for over two years so to be out having poke bowls and actually walk-shopping has been so good! She has a new home with her sweet fun husband and her two very affectionate pugs, not to mention the poolside chats have been life-affirming. It will be so nice for your dad to get a renovation on his home, even though this was a terrible way to start the process. You are both so fortunate to have each other. Sorry about your toe....You know Jesus Christ was going to be named Gary....until Mary stubbed her toe. (My comedian friend Argus, just wrote that joke this week) Great outfits, the vest is perfect for work-from-home. A video-call dream outfit. Your Fleetwood Mac skirt outfit is so cool and fun, the shoes made it kind of sophisticated and whimsical. What a horrid series of events with your sweet dad, I can't even imagine the pain, discomfort, and concern this has caused. I'm so sorry. You have my constant healing thoughts and faithful prayers. Oh Laura my heart breaks for you and your dad. I can only imagine how miserable your dad is. My poor dad had years of health problems continually happening. My sister eventually lost her job because she missed so much work..even though there was FML. I pray they can give your dad relief. If he comes home you may need to get home health care for him so that you are not sick or completely exhausted. Through all of this you continue to look beautiful. I love your casual looks because that is what I wear almost everyday. I love that bright color v neck sleeveless sweater from Trendsend . It is SO hard to get builders and hope you find someone soon. You definitely need some pool time after your week. On a happy note, your pics of Wyatt and Harvey are so adorable and you can't imagine how much they make me smile. ANd I had to laugh out loud, " Xena has a goober in her eyeball"! I know all about those goobers. Not only are you a wonderful caring daughter, you are a wonderful and caring mom, including your 3 four-legged children and now, taking in your dad's four-legged child. From one critter mom to another, I can tell the joy they bring you. Tico is also so lucky to have you too. Just need to comment on the black Loft dress. Such a wonderful surprise to see you in a dress with that really pretty and feminine full skirt. You looked so pretty in it and I can see you wearing that a lot. I love your ring! I made matching necklaces for my me and my daughter with mother’s wedding band and my daughter used the diamonds in her wedding band. So sentimental. And hopefully getting that ring from the jeweler is a sign that better things are finally to come after all these “hiccups”. My goodness. He will probably be discharged to a skilled facility from the acute hospital to help him get stronger. What a year!
If it doesn't rain it pours as we say in the UK. I am here with you. My Dad had radiotherapy for skin cancer on his head.Similar issue poor dressing technique caused infection resulting in a bigger op and skin grafts. So unfortunately these stories keep happening. Love and prayers for you all. Lovely outfits. Especially love Wednesday and Thursday choices. It's time your luck changed for the better sweetie. Take care xx
