So funny! My husband was surprised when he heard for the first time my version of the story. Now after 9 years being married, we also have merged both versions in our official one after we had to agree in some things 😂

I'm actually envious of those with lasting years of courting before marriage. Nowadays, people get married too quickly after a short while of dating and end up divorcing quickly too. I think you're lucky to marry your first boyfriend and not have to experience breakups. Like you, my sister is gna celebrate her 10th year with her boyfriend this year and they'll be getting married in the next few years. Lucky y'all! Perhaps next vid, y'all can discuss some common conflicts between married couples and how you go about resolving them.

Could you please ask Raph to talk about his sleep investments (if any).
What i mean is for example if you guys make an effort to make your bedroom conducive for very good sleep please talk about that.
Some people have blackout curtains, others may spray some essential oils
Or some people make it a point to do certain things before sleep to kind if program the sleep to make it virtuous (think more healing and less nightmares)
Reading heartwarming stories or writing a gratitude journals are some examples.
Because once we are asleep we are not in control.
But with eyes closed the brain can be in a variety of states at different times.
Some brain states facilitate deep healing others may facilitate memory etc.
These are the virtuous aspects.
There is less virtuous sleep also. I dunno what exactly goes on in the body during less virtuous states, but one will feel very different when he wakes up if the sleep was not so virtuous.
So since we do not have control the moment we doze off, some ppl will make it a point to do certain activities just before sleep to incline the sleep towards more virtuous states.
Even making a point to wind down and read a good book before sleeping can also count.
Does Raph have such examples?
Of course its also possible that Raph has good affinity with sleep such that simply the act of falling asleep can gravitate his mind very powerfully towards virtuous states.
Its kind of like how some ppl have good affinity with reading or writing. E.g. JK Rowling
While she is reading, JK Rowling's body relaxes, her mind is set free.
But for some other ppl without the same level of good affinity with reading and writing they may not experience the same degree of relaxation and freedom as JK Rowling does. As a result they may not enjoy the reading as much.
So its possible Raph may have something like that for sleep.
I read some time back in a book titled Sound Sleep Sound Mind that if people do not get much from sleep over time they may sleep less and less.
So the fact that Raph keeps up his commitment to his bed while being a working adult is not by chance. His body and mind probably gets more out of sleep than a person who chooses to skimp on sleep in favour of other commitments or other habits.
The sleep industry can become more significant in the upcoming years. You just watch.
In fact in the basement of Capitol building at city hall some time back i saw a 45winks by Simmons.
Basically it is a retail unit that they converted into bedrooms for executives to go there for a snooze during lunch, for a fee of course.
Those rooms are replete with blackout curtains.
If i am not wrong they even have a website. You can google 45winks to check it out if you are interested.
So yes please invite Raph to talk about his sleep investments, his affinity with sleep etc.

Hi Raph and Annette,
One topic you guys can talk about which i will be interested to hear is how animals and pets have added a dimension to your relationship.
Raph has shared the very interesting story of how dogs can be wingmen. Or rather how dogs can be the bridge between that eventually bring people together.
Because at the start of the relationship sometimes its exactly like you and Raph where one person is not as interested in the other.
But the animals in your relationship give you guys another dimension or another level to connect. You guys can play with the pet (indirect connection) without forcing any direct interaction between you two and allow love between the people to grow at its own pace.
And pets also allow for a whole new way of speaking. Like Raph can say things like oh its ok i am coming because i already told my dog that i am bringing him. Btw i thought that is brilliant!
Also having a pet dog can allow you to do things like say good morning to each other 10 times in one morning.
I do that to my brother. And ours is not even a real dog. Ours is my brother's soft toy dog.
I can say good morning brother good morning doggie. And then whether my brother responds or not its ok. I will just go to doggie and pat him.
So because i am saying good morning to 2 people (mr brother and his toy dog) there is no pressure on my brother to respond. Hence he is less likely to get annoyed by me repeatedly saying good morning.
And somemore with a real dog, if for example Raph says good morning to you and your dog then most likely the dog will run to him or respond in some way.
Then you can respond (or not) at your own pace and time. But the fact that Raph has said good morning (to you and the dog) lets you know that he is ready to talk as and when you are ready.
I always hear people say that communication is key in relationship and that people should communicate communicate communicate.
Please pardon me, i do acknowledge that such advice (to communicate communicate and communicate) can steer people towards a positive outlook and help them to eventually find a solution for themselves, but as advice at face level (the literal level) it is quite bullshitty.
Because such advice is a casualty of the survivorship bias.
People who succeeded and solved problems in their relationship would say communication did help them out. That is true.
But... are there times when attempts to communicate only made things worse? Yes of course.
Before the relationship begins one party may like the other and wants to establish communication (and get to know the other) but the other party may not be so interested.
What about in the middle of a relationship?
One party may be interested to talk. But the other party may not. The other party may be angry. Or tired. Or having a headache. Or having a bad day.
In a good scenario, talking calms fears and draws people closer. (One sentence spoken may cure 5 doubts)
In a not-so-good scenario, talking creates more opportunities for anger and disharmony. (One sentence spoken may create 2 insults, 3 harsh words, and 4 more doubts, on top of curing nothing.)
So in such a scenario where communication or direct contact may not be ideal, the dogs can be a bridge that allow for some form of healing to happen without speaking.

Great video, I usually don't sit through entire youtube videos, but this video is so interesting I sat through the entire thing, and I'm genuinely happy for you both and feel that the both of you are very blessed and happy to have each other.
I do have a question, being with each other for 9 years, how do the both of you deal with each other's shortcomings?
For e.g, bad habits, or whenever the both of you disagree with something, how do you guys deal with it amicably?
For reliving romantic moments, what are the things that you guys do to keep on creating sparks with one another?
How do the both of you provide support for each other when either of you feels down, or upset whenever something bad has happened, perhaps at a tremendous level?
How do the two of you communicate effectively and have great trust in one another during the 9 years together?
Has the COVID-19 pandemic affected both of you guys in any way when it comes to creating sparks in the love life between the both of you?
These are some of the questions that I have because I was in a committed relationship for 3 years (my longest) and unfortunately, we both had to break it off and has lost the spark, love, and trust with one another, the questions that I've raised in the above seems to be some of the challenges that I've faced throughout my relationship.
