At the last moment the director realized it is all too believable to be an act and they cut him down. This was a fantastic reaction worthy of the greatness of the masterpiece trilogy. The first one was the greatest movie of all time, but, yes, the third one was spectacular. Mary Steenburgen as Clara was perfect. Most don't realize she's an Academy Award winner.

Agreed, 3 is the best in the trilogy. It has callbacks to the 1st two films, ties everything up nicely, and that 3rd act really makes you feel the stakes.
The 3 old guys in the saloon are actual old cowboy film actors, and the bartender is younger but also did a lot of cowboy stuff. when Doc shoots Marty down by shooting the rope, that's an old gag from the Clint Eastwood movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly [1966]. I highly doubt Clara's telescope was really broken lol. When Clara stops the train and runs back to find Doc, that was taken from the excellent cowboy/western classic film High noon [1952] starring Gary Cooper, which you watch. Cooper won the academy award for best actor.

Nothing will ever come close to the absolute perfection that is the Back To The Future trilogy. Thank you for watching it and sharing your reaction with us!
This trilogy resonates because it’s such a wholesome friendship between Marty and Emmett. When we come upon them in the first movie, they are already friends. And the friendship didn’t need to be explained. How did a high school kid become friends with a scatterbrained local scientist? The friendship is represented so solidly between them that no exposition needed to be made, like in those buddy cop movies where two oddballs bond over the course of the movie. We meet Marty and Doc as ready made friends, allowing the plot to delve straight into their adventures. What a trilogy.
As a Back to the Future fan since i was a kid, i must say, your reaction is why we love this movies so much. Tears of pure joy and happiness. Thank you so much for this! 👏👏👏

Kinda obsessed with interpreting this as Doc being fully consumed in loving and being loved by Clara 🥹💜💜💜 Edit: just read up on how purple is often the symbolic colour of blossoming love/romance 😭💜💜💜
Nikki, you got the point of this trilogy so well. The fan base has grown by leaps and bounds as the years have gone by, and new generations of fans continue to discover and love this trilogy of films. And look at how it has expanded out into other mediums. An animated series. A theme park ride. A musical. A fully interactive video game with a great storyline. A yearly event recreating Hill Valley 1885 for the fans. Countless convention appearances by the actors. And a slew of all new comic books written by Bob Gale himself. And even a crossover comic book event with The Transformers. All of this and more. I am glad you enjoyed the trilogy, it is, pun intended, timeless.

"Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one, both of you!" If there's one line of dialogue in this that seems to move reactors, it seems to be this one. Christopher Lloyd delivered that line perfectly.
Fun fact: They wanted Fox but couldn't get him due to his Family Ties schedule at the time, so they cast Eric Stoltz as Marty and filmed most of the movie before they ultimately fired him. He just wasn't clicking with the material. So, a deal was made for Fox to join the project after all, filming Ties and BTTF back to back for weeks. Deleted scenes featuring Stoltz are available.
Yeah, he took the role too seriously. Played it like a drama, not charismatic at all. George McFly/Crispin Glover also didn't like how the first movie ended, creatively and wanted more money too. That's why he wasn't in the last two sequels. There were 3 Jennifers cast. too.
The utter joy of getting to relive these movies and watching a first-time reaction is so much fun! I joined this channel specifically because I saw this trilogy pop up, and I look forward to seeing whatever else y'all have reacted to😊
What you were saying about not envisaging anyone other than Michael J. Fox playing Marty McFly is interesting for a couple of reasons: (1) At one point it was Eric Stoltz who was cast in the role for the first film due to initially being unsuccessful in getting Michael on board due to his commitment to the TV programme _Family Ties._ Later on a workaround was agreed upon, and Eric was replaced with Michael. (2) When the stage musical adaptation - _Back to the Future: The Musical_ - opened in Manchester in February 2020 similar concerns about Olly Dobson playing Marty were felt. However, Olly turned out to be received favourably in the role (as was the musical itself).
On top of being an insufferable method actor while playing Marty, I guess Stoltz thought Marty's character was tragic and depressed, so not playing it for fun/comedic reactions at all.
When Eric was recast with Michael it's hard not to feel sorry for Melora Hardin, who was cast as Jennifer during Eric's brief tenure as Marty (they tried to get Claudia Wells then but, like Michael, had other commitments that initially forced her to reject the offer). When the big decision was ultimately made and they found that aforementioned workaround to get Michael on board they realised that Melora was just too tall to convincingly play Marty's girlfriend, so, as Claudia was by that point no longer tied down by those other commitments, she was able to take on the role after all. I would've hated to have had to be Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, the ones who had the unenviable task of calling to break the bad news to Melora Hardin that she was not going to even get the chance to film even just *one* scene as Jennifer.
@@Texy88 Then Wells' mother got sick after shooting the first movie, so she couldn't continue in the sequels cuz she decided to take care of her mother, which is why Elisabeth Shue ultimately was cast for the two movies.
I think this trilogy stands above the rest. Other trilogies like Iron Man and Star Wars tend to be epic large scale tales. Back to the Future is just 2 guys getting in trouble and trying to fix everything, and it still manages to fill 3 movies with interesting content.
I've watched many people react to these movies, but one thing I think many people miss is that in 2015, Marty is working for some sort of industrial company instead of being a musician (maybe Needles got him the job out of guilt). The reason for that is because he hurt his guitar playing hand racing with Needles (which we see in this third film) because he can't let anyone think he is "chicken". His mom explains that in 2015, but thus far I've yet to see anyone connect the dots that him refusing to race Needles at the end is why the note Jennifer brought back from the future erased. It's because he found the confidence to overcome what people think about him in 1885, and so he can continue to be a musician in 1985 (and probably become extremely successful). There is a cartoon sequel following all the characters, but canonically there's only one official story-sequel to this in Back to the Future the game (which apparently is a really good story written by one of the film's co-writers). It's a point and click adventure... but I've never gotten very far in it myself. They got back a few of the main actors (even the original Jennifer), but had to replace Marty with a very impressive sound-alike actor. Michael J. Fox eventually made a cameo in the game. However director Robert Zemekis says that as long as he is alive, there will never be a part 4, a remake, or reboot movie because he wants to keep their vision pure and not ruin it. There's something to be said for that in this age of remakes and reboots which aren't anywhere near as good (with some exceptions).

Mary Steenburgen played in another time travel movie before this one, in 1979, named Time after Time. She was also the love interest of the time traveler in that one, HG Wells played by Malcom McDowell. Funny thing is, in that movie like in this one, the time traveler tried telling her the truth about where/when he is from and she adamantly didn't believe him...I think the term "crock of shit" was used in that conversation. It is a really good movie and worth a watch. Love your reactions, though I have never seen anyone cry so much watching Back to the Future movies...proves how invested you become in the really good films, not a bad thing.
The back to the future trilogy is timeless for me, I could watch it every day. 3 is also my favorite, and the only part guaranteed to make me emotional in the entire trilogy is when the car hits 88 mph at the end of 3, because it’s the last time we’ll ever see it time travel.

There is only one word that can describe the enormity of this endeavor: WOW, WOW
I LIVE FOR YOUR REACTIONS TO MOVIES
Such a good end to a trilogy
Nikki…. You’ve bought so much joy to all of us watching along with you! Thank you!
This is the perfect story. Doc Brown dressed Marty in the sort of outfit Roy Rogers wore in the 1950's.
"Your future hasn't been written yet. No one's has. Your future is whatever you make it, so make it a good one, both of you!"
If there's one line of dialogue in this that seems to move reactors, it seems to be this one.
That was the first in the diner scene when Marty first met 1955 George McFly, but yes that is true
Yeah, he took the role too seriously. Played it like a drama, not charismatic at all. George McFly/Crispin Glover also didn't like how the first movie ended, creatively and wanted more money too. That's why he wasn't in the last two sequels. There were 3 Jennifers cast. too.
Great Scott!! Ya did it. The best movie trilogy of all time. Doc is so great in this.
Nikki, your reaction made me cry too! I’ve never shed tears during this film before, but your joy was so moving. Thanks for sharing that moment! 😭🥹😊
The utter joy of getting to relive these movies and watching a first-time reaction is so much fun! I joined this channel specifically because I saw this trilogy pop up, and I look forward to seeing whatever else y'all have reacted to😊
34:02 🥹 110% Raw unfiltered wholesomeness!! 👍👍 You get it!! thanks for taking us on your journey with you & keep up the good work!
What you were saying about not envisaging anyone other than Michael J. Fox playing Marty McFly is interesting for a couple of reasons:
(1) At one point it was Eric Stoltz who was cast in the role for the first film due to initially being unsuccessful in getting Michael on board due to his commitment to the TV programme _Family Ties._ Later on a workaround was agreed upon, and Eric was replaced with Michael.
You can find some of the scenes that Eric Stoltz shot as Marty on CZcams
I have never heard anyone say BTTF3 was their favorite, but I ain't mad at it. Best trilogy ever, imo.
I grew up on these, and three is my absolute favorite as well. Everything pays off beautifully.
Nikki ! You had me crying !! I’ve seen this movie hundreds of times .. watching you .. watch this movie … iam wiping tears off my face too !!! Thank you .. for your emotional reaction ! ❤❤❤

CLOSURE! That was powerful... and lovely!
the perfect ending to the perfect trilogy!and I believe you already know the Tannon family motto!.."- I HATE MANURE!!!" 😂😂😂
I always felt that if they added to the BTTF universe it should be a sequel with Jules and Vern continuing the story
My dad introduced this movie to me on dvd when I was at least 8 i watched this trilogy about 10 billion times and never get tired of it now im just watching my favorite reactors watch just so I have an excuse to watch it 😂😂❤
3 is definitely the best. Loved your reactions. Please keep being you
I caught every movie in the theater. I loved them all. But I agree this one is the best.
Nikki reaction videos are my new favorite thing !!!
This is the first long-form vid I've watched of these after seeing several on TikTok over the past few months. Thanks for sharing your reactions with us! It's so fun to watch childhood favorites through fresh eyes!
Doc's bandana was made from his future shirt he wore in #2
Marty is never able to drink in any movie.
And here I am thinking the It's A Wonderful Life reaction at the end would never be surpassed...
This is one of my favorite movies of all time and your reaction let me relive it again for the first time. Wonderful reaction, thank you.
Finished all 3 BTTF reactions. Thanks for the entertainment! Best BTTF trilogy reaction.
I'm a fan of back to the future. Saw it 1000 times, but sharing with your reaction make fell so good. Thanks and best wishes!!!!!! GReatings from Argentina!
I'm SO glad I stumbled onto this channel one day, It is my favorite reaction channel.
I've seen many BTTF reactions and yours is one of the best. It's like watching with an old friend
This is my favorite trilogy! Makes me feel good every time I watch it. Glad you got to experience it 😊
