@@JoeCreator The fact is that, myself I am playing Chinese dizi and Indian bansuri since 15Y now, and I still have some fails blowing on it and closing the holes correctly, this is not an easy instrument at all. Anyway that is a nice instrument and easy to transport anywhere during a journey. Native American flute is way easier to play.

Watching this is like watching myself today, a Crazy Norwegian trying to learn the Dizi flute. And you just showed me how to blow into that hole better, as my dog was pretty mad at me for the sounds I made before watching this. Thank you so very much.
Its so interesting to watch someone new to the flute trying to figure it out. The embrochure gets a lot easier and more natural after some practice!

😅 For wind instruments like Dizi, you should be using your diaphragm not lungs else you’ll feel dizzy and tire easily.
纠正一下封面，在中文里长笛是指西洋管弦的笛子flute，中国传统的应该统称为竹笛bamboo flute ，二者之间还是有些区别的❤

从小吹笛子的我表示，贴笛膜确实有技巧，要稍微贴皱一点才能吹出丝竹的音色，另外，现在我已经不知道是用什么胶水贴得笛膜了，看这个成色应该是阿胶

Dong Min and Jae Meng are my favorites.
According to my research, you dont neccessary need the dimo to make sounds. But it definitely helps to make it easier.
The dimo is intended to produce a special vibrating sound, but if not in use, it is totally usable covering the hole by a piece of tape, anyway that is not really the purpose to have I chinese dizi to use that way ...

Just different flutes. They are fairly cheap.

the holes on the top half of your dizi are not aligned inline with the holes of the bottom half, you will have a hard time adjusting your hand position
Bro you were amazing ❤ i just received my order Dizi and when i tried it i thought it was not working cause it couldn't make a sound ... And now I'm practicing it cause i found out it was my blowing that was bad. actually its my Day 1 practicing ... Btw do you have or anyone have a tip on the blowing part on dizi cause its hard 😢

Ok I shouldn't buy a dizi on a whim lol. I've never played a flute, I thought it was more straight forward like an ocarina
an ocarina like a recorder has a fipple just blow into it and it makes a sound but with a dizi you have to be very accurate to get any type of sound.

Although it's played on the bamboo flute, I used to play it on western long flute. With similar tone on the flute you got I think it would be a nice piece.
