I am convinced that the success of this program is that it added the nostalgia of older folks who remember these classic songs but within a contemporary youthful context.
No. I watched it as a teen and didn't know any of this songs. I found them really good! And the context wasn't necessarily good or special. Sometimes was annoying, but the songs were lit
This is my favorite moment from the entire series. A brilliant performance of the same arrangement Barbra performed as a duet with herself on a Burt Bacharach TV special in 1971. That of course was stunning as well.
I could listen to this 1,000 times and not get tired of it. The perfect combination of their soulful voices, his silky holding the high notes (well, both of them), the orchestration is perfect. I would love to see them do this live some day.
As opposed to all the mega-stars in the cast? You must be joking. They are both phenomenal singers but the rest of the cast is the next generation of Grammy and Toni winners.
I absolutely adore this song and the way they sing this song it breaks my heart the pain in their voices. They sure put 100% into this song. This song means a great deal to me
Very few songs on Glee got the double-up treatment -- Kurt sang 'A House Is Not a Home', then April does it here (or part of it). Both of them just NAILED it. The only other two songs I can think of off the top of my head that the show revisited were 'Don't Rain On My Parade' (Rachel, then Santana), and of course 'Don't Stop Believing,' which they covered several million times.
Ran across this by accident God, do I love the old Bird back rack songs and this one’s so special both vocal artists are phenomenal and the setting and video are as good as I can ever remember bravo and someone else said I could watch this over and over and over and I am wonderful
I used to love this song, I don't know what it was about it that made me emotional, I could just feel how lonely April was (and middle school me must've resonated with that), it was nice to see Mr. Schue show her kindness. I just saw Terri Joe on a live from October 15, 2023 and she was singing this song, and it reminded me of how much I loved it. There are A LOT of Glee songs that I found so emotional in middle school, but forgot about (since theres just so many), I am glad I came back to this one now at 19, where I truly feel the emotions even more now as an adult...who knows maybe future me will come back and I can either feel it even more deeply or overcome this and truly express/show myself to the world and find my people, I don't want to be so lonely anymore
Just returned from Europe for 3 weeks. Just to have someone tell you they are not attracted to you and that you're just friends I was so taken at the same time I really liked this person It's over now I'm alone again Empty once more These 2 songs sums up My empty life Beautifully sung Oh well that's life Need to move on and get a grip of my emotions before I lose my mind
This song is great.....but my very favorite is when Rachel and Finn (Lea & Cory) did it on Glee. I tried to find it on CZcams and it just disappeared. I had heard that Lea Michele wanted it taken down after Cory died. Not sure if that's true, but I can't find it.....sad.
This is possibly the best cover of this song to date.

Whatever it took
Likely that, but also for me as a teen watching and being exposed to great old songs I hadn't heard before was really fun.

100% agree
Mine, too.
One of the best covers/ mashups on glee in my opinion!
Completely agree! Also, one of the best vocal performances.
Nah baby this is FACT.

Her voice is so unique and her range is ridiculous! Love her country and soul vibes ♥️♥️
She has such great vocals, she's amazing!
Two Broadway masters hit it out of the park.
The Glee cast must've been happy to have a real singer like Kristin among them
As opposed to all the mega-stars in the cast? You must be joking. They are both phenomenal singers but the rest of the cast is the next generation of Grammy and Toni winners.
She made me feel every minute of this song. Ooof... 💔
I absolutely adore this song and the way they sing this song it breaks my heart the pain in their voices. They sure put 100% into this song. This song means a great deal to me
The song is just a masterpiece. When sung by great singers, it's magic!
This was the best moment on the show by far.
2:01 and 3:36 give me chills every time omg
I love this duo!!!!
Their voices mash well together!!
😍😍😍😘😘😘

"Seasons of Love" too
I'm not gonna lie, I think I loved this show more than my children.
Good One! 😂👍

I just love their chemistry. BFF GOALS!
Awesome rendition of a beautiful song.
Marilyn McCoo made this song immortal.
glee mash-ups were always incredible
This is breathtaking

One of my favorites moments of Glee
WOOOOOW fantÁstica canción de Burt Bacharach... BRAVO!!!
These two are beyond fantastic, and any song from Burt Bacharach is wonderful
Oh, I should be happy
What a unique performer.....in every way!!! Just love her!
Everything about this is a master class.
I love their voices together on this song it's so beautiful.
Un--F'ing-BELIEVEABLE!!!!
One of their best ❤
I think she did an amazing job at this song. Be kinder people.
Always cry listening to this
I love this song especially the duet!
Still one of my favorites
There is s LIVE version of this somewhere out here on You Tube as well. They sing it to Barbra herself when they honored her at MusiCares.

Beautiful duet
0:46 원곡과 달리 이 부분이 정말 섬세함
Love, Love, Love!
I miss these days
I love this
Goodbye Burt and thank you “One Less Bell to Answer”.
This may be better than the original.
Don't tell anyone, but I think I agree with you. 🤫
Kristin Chenoweth, ladies and gentlemen. Kristin Chenoweth.
She’s coming to my city in September I cannot wait!!!
Please come back……
彼女は、この曲の作曲家バカラツクの元奥さんのアンジーによく似てるから、ビックリポンでした。
This is the best. Fight me
Two songs kill my heart. This one and Mercedes and Santana.
This is a Streisand take but even Barbara couldn’t match Marilyn McCoo.
RIP
Just returned from Europe for 3 weeks. Just to have someone tell you they are not attracted to you and that you're just friends
I was so taken at the same time I really liked this person
It's over now
I'm alone again
Empty once more
These 2 songs sums up
My empty life
Beautifully sung
Oh well that's life
Need to move on and get a grip of my emotions before I lose my mind
Is that Kristin Chenoweth?
It sure is! Gorgeous!
yeah
La voix de la chanteuse est trop nasillarde et "petite fille". Cette version est à mille lieues de celle de la Divine Barbra Streisand...
I didn’t think anyone could butcher this song. I was wrong.
My grandmother always said if you've nothing nice to say keep quiet? Kristen is a huge Broadway star, what gives😢
Lame
