I'm a retired military spouse glad those days are over no more moving every few yrs the older you get the less you want to move...and start over getting your house in order... good luck with your move hope you settle in ok...I remember my kids would hate to move and leave their school and friends...just found your channel..want to make dolls..
Thank you so much, and I know what you mean! We’re hoping to stay here longer than normal, we are hitting that point of weariness with the moves, for sure. All our kids are teens, we’d love for them all to graduate in this location!
Thanks❤❤❤
Great !
Very buotefull Thanks
You should try making irish dance dresses but it would be a big project so make sure you have alot of time on your hands
That’s a great idea! 😅
This is my favorite tutorial on sewing doll hair. Your method seems the least intimidating and also thank you for sharing how to add more hair for more versatile hairstyles.
I loved this video. I can't find the tutu video...did you do it and I'm just looking in the wrong place? If not, would love to see.😀
I totally LOVE this dolly!! I want to make one soon. Does your pattern include the tutu and leotard or top?? Thank U
Yes, it comes with all the clothes! Leo, leg warmers, wrap skirt, and tutu :)
i love this cols manda pra mim lol
I would like to see placement and technique for corn rows.
I always find using magazine paper (any store printed paper they advertise their sales on is great!) is easier to pull away than regular printer paper
That's a great tip, thanks :)
Amei
you asked for ideas -- a Mary (mother of Jesus) rag doll with the long hair and blue veil(?) and how to sew on her hair with that! Thank you!!
❤
I'm wearing headphones and I felt that marking pen in my throat 😂
😆😆😆
Great Video.... Thank You ❤❤❤ ps: I was wondering if this wig can be done without a sewing machine? Should I crochet the yarn in the middle line, or sew it by hand over that paper???
I think I’d go the hand sewing through paper route. Maybe even use tissue paper so it’s easier to tear away.
I want to add hair to my teddy bear
I love so much your dolls!! Which type of fabric do you use for the body? ❤
Thank you! I use nice cotton solids 👍🏻
@@PinCutSew thank you 😀
Hello
I like your video, and wonder where do you get your fabric for the body of the doll?
I 've looked online, and can't seem to find an appropriate skin tone colour for the doll i want to make.
Look for Kona cotton solids, that's where I've found the best skin tones. They have a TON of colors, but in person stores don't sell them all. I found a few at JoAnn and a few at Hobby Lobby, but you may have more success online.
Any suggestions how to make hair using a weft for a male doll? the front works for the hairline but I’m stumped as to how to attach it at the back to make short hair close to the scalp .
I haven’t tried it, but I’ve been pondering a boy doll pattern with yarn hair. I’ll give it some thought and hopefully have something to share soon.
is it possible to do without a sewing machine? its the only thing i dont have sob
..eh...have you seen the Waldorf Doll making series?
I am wondering about fraying.....if kids play with these, will the yarn fray?
I think it depends on the yarn. Using wool will age nicest, but there will be some wear over time no matter what, sure.
Hi, why don’t you use a curved needle for stitching on the hair?
Because I’m so used to the straight one, I’m fumbly with a curved! But that’s an option too :)
What type of yarn is best for the hair?
Wool is my first choice, but since it’s pricier, acrylic is great too. Avoid cotton, it’s too heavy and weighs down the head!

I sure do, you can shop my patterns here: www.pincutsewstudio.com/shop
Is it possible to create a pixie cut with yarn??
I haven’t tried it, but I think so! The right kind of yarn would help it stay in a style, I think, and not just stick out everywhere. A boy doll is on my list, so I’ll report back when I’ve tried a short hairstyle!
oh.
Doll pattern please ?😊
Here you go :) pincutsewstudio.etsy.com/listing/1260509119/ballerina-rag-doll-pdf-sewing-pattern
Not so easy for those of us who can not afford a sewing machine. Anyone have any other options for yarn hair please?
Hi Kenneth :) You can also sew hair on by hand. It will take longer of course, but you can do it. Don't make a weft, just center a few strands of hair at a time onto the hairline and stitch them on.
show us different style of hair
Can you use a hot glue gun instead?
Hot glue definitely wouldn’t work for this. It would look messy and it wouldn’t hold.
