Ive got the NBK Devvy. Im completely happy with it. Its a lot more simple but as light as it feels its actually pretty solid. Ive had to tighten up 3 ball joints and one hinge joint on the entire figure. Its missing all sorts of ridiculous pieces that fold and stores away and whatnot but its 60 bucks. I had a lot of fun putting silver highlights on it and making it look great. If you want a really big, really decent looking Devastator for your collection and dont have hundreds of dollars, get the NBK. I really feel like this "reviewer" is a bit bias and comes off as condescending. "Oh look at this here! Its TRASH! Ermahgerd!!!" Like...bruh. The Jinbao is about 250 - 350 bucks and the gravity Builder set is....about as much as youll spend on your car this month. The NBK Devastator is fine. Dont be ahsamed to like something just because its charmingly less advanced.
Considering the KO version is 1/5th of the price of the original 3rd Party Scrapper, I'd say this is a very good and solid toy (I have this one plus NBK-2. Gravity Builder's extreme price of $100,- for one constructicon is just absurd. A $50,- pricemark would have been so much more appropriate.
Interesting that yours has all these issues. Mine doesn't, at all. It's nice, solid plastic, quite hefty, there's no flex in it at all. Most of the joints are nice and tight, there are only a couple I'd tweak and it hasn't been urgent enough for me to get around to it yet. All in all, having got the first one, I didn't see the point in spending a lot more money for GT's version. I got Scrapper, Scavenger and Bonecrusher for £24, I think. So about £8 each. That's probably about $10-11 or so right now. Damn good deal. I'm getting the rest as they come out. Got Mixmaster on order at the moment.
My NBK has all the same details. I don't know why yours is dull. Mine doesn't have all that bendy like yours does. I paid 70.00 for all 6 figs. NBK is an incredible good set.

As with alot of KOs the first generation ones tend to be rubbish and after a few years you get the better ones like the yes model seekers and the recent Jin Biao Bruticus. I think I'll wait for that to happen with Devastator because I can't justify over $600nzd on a single combiner.

You're welcome. If this set still interested you, look out for Clear green Scrapper March 10th, and KO Scavenger between March 15-25th. Also the set will be released in G2 yellow. So while I wasn't a fan of this, i'll still check out their colour variants and chuck something up.
I dont have any experience with CW Devastator, so couldn't say either way. Although, if CW Dev was like this, I think there'd be a tonne of complaints.

Yeah I just saw it and I was like: "DAMN!!!!" man, that green translucent plastic?!! Also there's that white ghost/spectre white Scrapper mod out there as well!!!? I bought 2 of these for $50 and no complaints otherwise (yeah the legs are kinda off but oh well....). Great stuff your vids and have subscribed btw!!! I got one about a week after they came out and mine has no flex in the bucket and the only sprue marks are two tiny outies one each side on his legs on the grey parts - which I'd not even noticed until I looked all over for any sprue marks. If I had to be super picky I'd say the Hinge on the roof is a little loose - but as it is only noticeable during transformation to leg mode I have yet to even both tightening the screw - considering you can buy one of these now for like £8.50 to £13.00 I can't see any reason not to get them all twice or more if they make G2 yellow as well. Sure the Robot mode isn't a 10 on anyone scales but it's a perfectly fine vehicle and the leg seems really solid - and it's a darn sight less fiddly than the Generation toy version is - which is a plus if you actually want to play with them so so far 1 out of 6 it's a plus for me.

Jinbao OS devastator so far is incredible quality. Jinbao also have OS predaking, which is a little crappy but looks good. If you can find it, the Neoarts 1:1 Predaking KO is incredible quality. For bruticus, the Jinbao OS KO of Warbotron is fantastic quality. The wukong 1:1 ko of Warbotron is better quality. Just depends what size you want. There's a ko Toyworld Devastator coming from Jaki, but i dontchave much info on that other than a few photos.
nbk for devastator if you are looking for this design if you want a G1 looking one i suggest weijiang bruticus machine boy its warbatron's just with more g1 looking colours and the joints are a bit iffy but its only $100 for all of them depending on where you get the pieces and predaking maybe jinbao idk tho
maybe that should make Gravity Builder cheaper if u guys think every one has 200.00 bucks to pay for one transformers or maybe u guys could buy every one who can't get Gravity Builder set and buy it for them
Aside from leg floppiness, I think where this version and the clear version suffer most is simply the clear crotch piece. There's a sprue mark on the bottom. When i removed the part to shave it down a bit, i ended up turning the connector peg behind it white where it meets the back of the plate. Oopsie!

Good question. The info on the box is Mandarin, but mentions "Main component ABS" which could mean a lot of different materials make up the rest. Funny you bring this up actually as I've been thinking about it in regards to Yes-Model's mold release. It gives off a very strong waxy odor in humid temperatures.
I could save my 100 and buy Hasbro one if I am going pay 100 for one ill do the box set Hasbro has not pay a 100 for one transformer cause when u think of it that will be a 500 dollar transformer if u pay that much for a transformer u have to much money

NBK's Scavenger prototype already looks better than their Scrapper. The set may still turn into something decent.

Scavenger is out in 2-3 weeks last time I checked. They're also putting out G2 yellow 3rd quarter reportedly.
