Hiking the Southern Circuit at Wilsons Promontory National Park | Victoria, Australia

In this video well spend 3 days hiking 50 kms on the southern circuit in Wilsons Prom National Park. Well get amazing views at the southern most point of mainland Australia, visit a historical lighthouse, swim in a stunning remote beach and meet some of the locals along the way. Camping
If you would like to hike the southern circuit you will need to book the campsites from the parks Victoria website At www. parks.vic.gov.au and remember to plan ahead in summer. The campsites are primitive there are no facilities available just basic drop toilets and no running water. Also you will need to bring along your own toilet paper.
Route
There are different routes you can take we started from telegraph saddle to roaring meg, little waterloo bay and finishing back at telegraph saddle. Parks Victoria have map with all the trails and campgrounds so you can plan out a longer or shorter route if you like. We saw loads of people going from telegraph saddle to little waterloo bay and back. We will link the map in the description. Also keep in mind part of the path between telegraph saddle and sealer cove is closed due to storm damage.

When you arrive at the park you will first need to check in with the rangers at the tidal river visitors center. After you check in you will need to park at the overnight hikers car park or at the Telegraph saddle car park. if you are starting from telegraph saddle and the car park is full you will need to park at overnight hikers car park and take a shuttle bus to the trailhead.
Bring along plenty of water and a filter to filter the creek water out on the trail. There is running water available at the Wilsons Promontory light station. Remember to pack everything out that you bring in so this place remains as beautiful as it is now for everyone else to enjoy.
