I gave the book to Obadiah, killed him afterwards and took the book back to the tomb and destroyed it so I got the reward and Good karma.
I just killed him and kept the book for myself since it’s a unique texture.

Unfortunately the Lovecraftian God has already chosen Earth as his playground. We only got rid of one of his toys.

If it's is nyarlatoteph (and everything point that it is that God) the fallout world can at least sigh in relief since nyarla don't breaks the goods it uses to play with.

For some PC players who wants to play this on Fallout 4, a group of modders did a great job of recreating this DLC, the whole Point Lookout island, it's places, monsters, npcs along with its same quests just like the original on Nexusmods.

Short answer, I burned it, though wearing the ghoul mask and passing through the Dunwich building, past dozens of feral zombies, was one of the creepiest experiences I've ever had in a game.

So many of my friends slept on the DLCS for Fallout 3 and its insane. Together they add about 30 hours of extra content and some of the stories are really bizarre and fun. The Pitt was one of my personal favs. Start a revolution from literally nothing to work with.

Hot topic: the Eldritch, Lovecraftian cosmic-horror that wrote _The Krivbeknih_ book was probably responsible for The Great War by influencing others to do its bidding of unleashing literal Hell on Earth.
This whole thing ties to the Dunwhich Borers mine in Fallout 4 which gives you flashbacks of rituals and even allows you to get a ritual dagger. Plus all the raiders surrounding it have been driven insane by something
It definitely does seem to have close ties to radiation and ghouls as well. The Interloper also has the ability to influence the minds of humans from a great distance so it’s definitely not beyond the realm of possibility. Would love to see it explored more in future!

Man, I forgot what 3 used to look like. The upgrades they gave it on xbox seriously overhauled it and I'm not complaining. Also I just did this quest and popped obediahs head for doing what he did to marcella. Then I took the book to the dunwoch building.

They should remake fallout 1 and 2 into 3d, imagine joining the enclave and seeing the wasteland develop with its factions,like the NCR.
It literally is a remake fallout 4 graphics and gameplay with a remade point lookout that is a one-to-one creation like Bethesda hasn't really upgraded their engine so to me it looks like the same as fallout 4 anyway if they remade it officially @@user-zp8kj2cl9g

By the time my character can get that book and live to tell about it, a thousand caps isn't much of an incentive and the main problem posed by the Dunwich building is navigational.
Gave it to Obadiah because the marker for the Dunwich building was bugged for me, and kept pointing to BFE, making it really hard for me to find the place.
I gave it to Obediah just to see what he would do with it. I honestly thought it was just useless trash and he was just superstitious. lol
Its on my bookshelf in tenpenny tower with all my cool little souvenirs from across the capital wasteland and beyond

This quest was originally supposed to play out differently. Obadiah would actually try to get rid of the book believing it was cursed he would contact Marcella and ask her for help which would lead the player to go and fetch the book. But once you returned the swamp folk would have killed her instead of the mercs, which then would have you take the book to obidiah who would tell you how to destroy the book.
I just now realized that Point Lookout was an official DLC and not something fan made. So that’s the reason why its so buggy

Because the mining company "Dunwich Borers" is a reference to HP Lovecraft's book, Dunwich Horror.
I wish for once we could do something supernatural not connected to Dunwich

The first time before I talked to him I loaded a save a proceeded to distribute karma in several different ways
I sold it to Obadiah then mezzed him tell his head poped then searched his corpses then grabbrd the krivbeknih traveled to ten penny tower then added it to the book shelf where the collection of PreWar books.. 😅
Turned it in to him for money then stole it back to decorate my home.

Keep it obviously. Just like in Fallout 4 you put Kremvh's Tooth on Pickman's Blade for the best of both. It even looks good, as your hand hides the bits that don't match perfectly.

I just kept it and added it to my collection of weird things I have found in this game.
In my most recent evil play through I immediately killed Marcella right after she talked to me and gave it to Obadiah. I then followed him to his alter and he proceeded to insult me so I killed him with the ritual knife and just kept the book. It then became decoration in my raider theme Tenpenny Tower suite alongside the ritual knife.
Gonna use it as a toilet paper.
