This is where I started my Aurora journey. We are at the beginning . . .18 (24 now) year old Aurora's 1st official video shot mostly in her backyard on the Fiord of Light at the end of 2014. I'm glad you came back here, Adam, after doing the Seed reaction (possibly her 17 video) to get a beginning and some perspective also. We can learn together, thank you for this.
It's nice to see Aurora being recognized for doing her own thing. I prefer: "I went too far" "Churchyard", "Forgotten love" and "Apple Tree." She also have a ton of other great songs, as she's released 3 albums. Her live performances are usually also great and supremely animated. I prefer the one for KEXP (2018) just because you can both get acquainted with her humor and her wild dance moves. To be honest she even gets a little out of breath, which affects her vocal performance. The "Haik" concert could also be recommended, as well as the 11 minute long youtube- documentary about her called "Nothing is eternal."
The face in the sand and in the painting were just an illusion, what she saw while climbing a tree was waiting patiently, and she was running far away and perhaps off the world someday. I'm thinking that the home where she belongs is not of this material world. This world can be a very hard place sometimes and Aurora is running for a soft place to fall.

If you had any idea the type of things Aurora has been going through from she was very small you would not be surprised that she writes these type of songs at such a young age. Her early songs give a small glimpse of what she's suffered if you can understand them.
