- The wedding was located in a small village in Yunnan province in southwestern China. The whole process of Chinese Muslim weddings, including Nikah at 11:00. The groom is me, the bride's name is Viona, Islamic name Aisha, and we are all Hui ethnicity. The Hui ethnicityis one of the 56 ethnic minorities in China. There are more than 10 million people who believe in Islam and are distributed in different provinces in China.
In fact, there is a banquet at night, but it is not included in the video.
This channel is my personal, I will share some cultural customs about Chinese Muslims here, how do we live? What is your experience as a Muslim in China? etc. Thank you for your likes

I am Chinese Han, and this is the first time I have seen a complete Hui Muslim wedding in China. When I was in school, my classmates were Hui, but I only knew a little bit about the Hui diet.

As a Malaysian myself, its so interesting to see the difference in culture and its incorporation in other parts of the world that practice Islam. Im Chinese myself and I do have other relatives of mine who are also Chinese Muslim but the wedding practices are so much different from what Ive seen here. I learned about the Muslim community in Yunnan a short while ago. It surprised me because they are far away from Muslim countries, there are no other big Muslim communities around their region. On the contrary, they have a healthy Muslim community. Your wedding , your people has lots of similarities to other Muslims. Congratulations.!

As a Han Chinese, I am facinated by this Islamic event. We have a Islamic province called Ningxia Hui(Chinese Muslim)Autonomous Region, and this place is almost unknown to Chinese.This is definetely a place to appreciate ethnic diversity in China.
I am sure that the rest of East Asian would surprised too. Also Singaporean Chinese would too as most know there are ppl who convert to Muslim But would probably be surprise that there are Chinese who ancestors are Muslims as far back as 600++ AD. There is a mosque in China that dates back to 600++AD. Its within the same era as the last Islamic prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
@@nurimahrasidz271 I'm an ethnic Chinese from Singapore but I've known that Islam already existed in China even before the flourishing ancient Silk route during the Tang Dynasty. Some scholars even claim that Islam was brought to SE Asia (incl Indonesia) by Muslim Chinese merchants. There are approx more than 20 million Muslims in China from various minority groups (mainly the Uyghurs, Hui (these 2 are the largest), Kazakh, Tajik, Uzbek, Dong, etc) and Han Chinese who converted to Islam in more recent years. The ancestors of the Hui were originally from Arabia during the Silk Route who settled there and married the locals. Bur over millenia of inter-ethnic marriages with other muslim groups and within the Hui themselves, their Arabic dna has diluted and the Hui today do not look much different from Han Chinese. But Han Chinese is also not pure anyway.
