    The fuel savings are unbelievable (not Calling out anyone) but less burn twice the production WOW? Can see some JD seeders being traded out for another 80 footer and (possibly) a new Case quad track. May even be able to get rid of one Tractor

      Some years ago a farmer in Western Australia 🇦🇺 planted 16000 hectares of grain in 16 days. Not sure of the working width, but it took about 9 minutes of pulling and pushing hydraulic levers to set the machine.

    A very nice video Ben , just like always. Two questions, what is the seed spacing on the seeders and secondly, I am assuming that at one time the country was covered in trees and then removed for farming? Any significance to the reason why the trees were left ? Thanks.

    • @BenCrosthwaite1
      @BenCrosthwaite1  Před rokem +2

      Hi Ed, the original trees were Mallee (small gum tees) and Scrub (small bush trees). The trees you can see have been planted. When this country was cleared, the main aim was to try and leave 15% to 20% to bush as a wind break, nature strip mainly on the gravel ridges and creek ways.
      The John Deere spacings are 1', and the Disc machine is 7.5".

      Because so much was produced last year and being a local market, the risks were too high to put another crop in this year.
