- I documented the process of introducing my adult rats together (Sundae & Sprout + Badger and Moose)!
The method that I used is the carrier method, watch my video on how to introduce rats here: bit.ly/2Tkxev3

Rats: IM SO MAD AT YOU RIGHT NOW! MY SPACE!
Also rats: *GROOMS AGGRESSIVELY*
My rats instantly fell inlove with each other when I introduced them. It only took a few hours. They cuddle all day
Innit the best to see two animals interact with each other? :) recently i introduced my two cockatiels to one another and its the best to observe how they give each other head scritches etc
Lucky my rats looked like they were fighting so I put their cages by eachother and they were trying to box through the cages
Robloxian Cousins âthey were trying to box through the cagesâ Iâm doneđ I know itâs not funny but the way you worded it has me cackling
Violet marie It was pretty funny but sadly we had to take the other rat back because they wouldnât get along đ
Robloxian Cousins Iâm sorry you had to take your buddy back. But thank you for being responsible and taking him back. I know this horrible horrible woman that wouldâve kept those Little guys together fighting just because she didnât want to take the other back. You are a responsible and awesome owner!
I am a rat, I assert my dominance by roughly grooming everyone around me
Doesn't make any sense at all
Animalowner1 208 You donât know what rats behave like
Do you also pee on others to establish DOMINANCE
Kaiden Smith yes
Kaiden Smith everyday
Moose is literally me.
*gets scared,,plays dead*
Sorry I have to tell you but Iâm very stoned and I really for a straight minute thought the + was a cross and the rats were praying ok. Very cute thank you.
I laughed way too long at this
which minute?
Isabelle Woods probably the thumbnail loll
OMFG I was cry laughing at this for too long lmfao đ€Ł
Me too bud..me too
I love how they roughly clean eachother to show dominanceđâ€ïž
My heart explodes when I see cuddle piles. My two, Frieda and Petra, sleep on each other a lot. Iâve had them together for a month and theyâre constantly boxing each other and wrestling. I think because Petra was smaller at the time she let Frieda be alpha but now she thinks she should be the boss because sheâs bigger than her now. Frieda is my wild child while Petra is timid. They remind me of Tigger and Piglet.
Colleen Dawn are those names attack on Titan references?
Oliver Wigglesworth omggg new season this month â€ïžâ€ïž
LocalPastel_ Weeb ah.
Rats: *aggressively grooms rats to show dominance*
Also rats: *eyes pop out of their head when theyâre happy*
The cuddle piles are so cuteđ
âSave meâ
That got a quick chuckle.
Also moose made me laugh the entire time ommggg
ughhhh,,, i wanna get two more boys and have a big group but i doubt my dad will let me tbh. i love the cuddle piles.
JasperMan how many do you have now?
All your rats are adorable but I specially love Sprout, he is so cute xx
OMG I AM OBSESSED WITH RATS ESPECIALLY YOURS AND MINE AWWWW
Thank you for making me smile. I needed this after sadly losing my heart rat Remy last Saturday. đą
So sorry to hear that đ
Imee's World Thank you đ
Great work on this integration. Definitely my favorite technique that saves them so much stress.
I need to cuddle my babies now, I still call them my babies even though they are over a year old đ
My girls are finally in the same cage!! I had one girl in particular that would attack the new girl over and over. It was all about dominance but the poor new girl was absolutely terrified after being jumped several times each session. I finally used the carrier/small cage method and after a day of being in the small cage they were sleeping and grooming!!! Theyâre all together now!
You are the best i've seen to animal care with the exception of only an handful of others ive found. Why don't you have way more subs by now? Hope you get there!
They are so precious, bless their little hearts!
I smiled and laughed and giggled the whole time đ great video! Iâm so glad you had an easy time!
Lovely commentary and such an explanatory video! I LOVE your new boys, especially Badger â„ïž
Moose is my spirit animal lol
I am so in love with Sprout! thanks for the vids! I became a rat dad not long ago and I feel like a child again! :)
This is so cute
I canât even handle how adorable they all are đđđ
Hey there,
I just wanted to thank you so much for your videos. I got three boys last year (my first rats ever) and made lots of mistakes and ended up separating them because they were bullying and injuring each other and although I got the big two boys neutered, I haven't had the confidence to put them back together again in case they really hurt each other again. I didn't want them to be lonely though and after alot of research and watching your videos I tried the carrier method. They're now all back together in their newly made double feraplast cage (thanks for that video too) and they're having a blast sleeping together in their new hammocks and playing during their free roaming time. I still have a long way to go as a rat owner but your videos have made me better and made my boy's lives so much fuller. I can't thank you enough for all your videos and tips and tricks. Thank you so much! â„ïž
I love your rats so much !! đđđ
Love this video! Thanks for sharing! What a beautiful lovely socialized new group of rats they aređđđđ great jobđđŒđđŒ
This video makes me miss my 2 boys Sam & Benji sooooo much, they were brothers from the same litter n were deeply attached to each other and me. Cuddles 24/7. Awesome video, definitely will watch this when I decide to adopt again :)
This was incredibly cool to watch đ
OMG I am in LOVE with your ratties!!! â€ïžđ
Thank so much for this video. I've been wondering how to do introductions of rats. I don't have rats yet, but doing a bunch of research before getting my first group.
Best CZcams channel evaaaaaađâ€ïž
This is extremely helpful as I'm about the start school soon and even though I'm doing it online I'm gonna be busy basically all day and I don't want them to get to lonely. So I've been figuring out if I should get them some new sisters to play with and hang with while I'm busy with highschool, cuz homework ugh lol. I've been researching and watching rat owners for quite a bit today to figure it out. Thanks so much for the help!
I finally got rats! You were a big inspiration đâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđ
omg so cute love the colors on themđđđđ
Very well done and very well explained
I am getting some new ones for my boys now , great help nice & simple way to do it. Thanks
Great video! I adore rats. So cute, very lovable.

Awww you can see how exhausted they all were. đđđ
they are so so adorable!!! youre a great rat mum
Thank you so much for this! I've been around rats for years but have never had to into any.. I always got 3 to 5 minimum when getting new ratties. My DCN is split between the 4 I have. 3 on bottom and 1 on top.. I really want to intro them but am fearing the worst. They're all a little over a year and are intact. This video is a huge help, thank you so much Imee. My name is pronounced like yours but spelt differently đ.
Im quite excited to see this :) I have a male rat living on his own because of how aggressive he is toward other rats. Hopefully this video Will help me out! :)
Today I've got my 3 little babies!đ
Now they are eating đđ Thx for your Videos, there helped me a lot.
- Love from Germany
I had to put my Rat Prequelle to sleep today since she had a tumor in her abdomen (it was genetic ) and she was only 8 months old.
The vet directly called a woman who's rat just had pups. I showed up to her house not even 5 minutes later and took one of the rats home. I was kinda nervous what Prequelle's sister (Meliora) would do when she saw Cirice, but she instantly started grooming her and keeping her warm while she slept. They made the entire day a little bit better.
When I first introduced mine, Rouge (the one we had first) ROCKETED out of the tub!! She did not like Ruby. But they are fine with each other now! Lol
This is so incredibly interesting
They are so cute đđ
ahhhhhh they are soo cute! omg soo adorable! ;)
Love them!! I want rats so bad.i ve a mouse who is 3 & I love him lots
boscoitalics I want some too!! Iâm saving up a lot so I can get a cage and lots of toys and supplies!!
Cant waitâ€ïžđđđđđ
I remember introducing two rats to each other years ago. I pretty nervous especially when they both got a little tense... but in the end it all went well and the two became great friends.
They were pretty different, one was a very small dark coloured rat who was pretty hyperactive and the other was a normal sized light coloured rat who was also blind and very calm. But they were both cuties, very social and like I said they became very good friends.
I miss my girls. :(
Can't wait
These rats are so cute I could cry đ
They are so cute đ
Badger is soooo adorable. Moose is precious. Lil squishies.
aww your rats are so cute!!!! :)
That went great! I have 2 girls atm but I will be adopting 2 more hope it goes well
Awww, I wish I had rats, they are such cute little darlings
Aawwww!! I LOVE DEM
Thatâll really help when I get rats I canât wait
Such good boys!
Sunday's little begrudged hand like he's an old man shaking his fist at the world, my rat Bilbo does it too, proper little old men vibes! makes me crease XD ahahahah
your rats are so beautiful >W
Such cuties! I have two males on their own at the minute and need to introduce them. I lost one a few days ago and went to pick up another rat who was in the same situation (having lost his brother) and now I need to introduce the boys.
I love your vids
You're rats are really adorable
Iâve introduced a lot of baby girl pairs to adult girls over the years, and itâs always been easy although the time it takes has varied from a few days to 12 weeks. This time, for the first time ever Iâm really nervous about it. My old girls are acting quite evil just upon _seeing_ the babies in a separate space. I am going to need to do the bathtub method, and I thank you for showing the process since Iâve never needed to alter my usual technique.
That was very helpful
My rats instantly fell In love I had 3 rats all from the same litter and one died quite young so we decided to get another one, she was a bit bigger, but they welcomed her so well, recently one of the three rats passed away and I miss her so much
Okay I love them
My mice grew up together and I felt bad for having to pick one so I got them both and they are such good friends
Love sprout!!
So fluffy đ
Adorable boys
Awww! Your ratties are so cute!
Omg you liked my comment! Thank you so much!
So cuuute
SO CUTE
I've had 3 situations where I was introducing babies to older rats & where the babies tried mounting My older Boys. And I've found it's nearly always the smallest Baby who does all the mounting & trying to play the big Man. It's quite funny. I had a male who had a chip on His shoulder about His size (it was a hormonal imbalance really) but the humping is normal. I don't know if You'll be getting them neutered but I do find it really helps as it cures all excess aggression & stops injuries & fights. I also find it helps with smell & obviously it prevents many cancers & extends their lives but yeah They're more mellow & laid back after being neutered.
Ummm, nO! Neutering males does NOT make them less suseptible to anything besides tesicluar cancer.
@@ambriadanielsband4132 Although it's not been proven, many rescue centres , foster carers , owners & vets have found that Male rats almost always live far longer than their usual life expectancy after being neutered. I believe it's thought to also prevent cancers of the prostate & another cancer other than testicular but I will check with My Vet again on Monday as I can't remember which other cancer. There are 3 particular cancers that the risk is apparently vastly reduced for with the operation. Sorry 2 other than testicular I mean which obviously is eliminated. I can't remember if prostate cancer is eliminated or reduced risk but I'll ask Our vet on Monday. She specialises in rats. The only thing is, You have to watch out for weight gain with Neutered males. Males are quite prone to laziness anyway when They reach maturity & after neutering They tend to be higher risk of obesity. But I had 2 neutered Males who stayed a healthy weight & an un-neutered male who ended up obese so again nothing is set in stone
Oh, how precious, but scary! They looked a little scary, but hopefully all is well!
I did something very similar when introducing my girls to each other! I just added a little bit of vanilla to their fur so they were more interested in licking and grooming and not fighting đ
Iâve grown facinated with rats, and Iâm trying to get some, Iâm working on a PowerPoint about all the tease arch I can, and as a test to see if my mom would let me get some, so I âjokedâ about wanting to get a rat. She did not like the idea of getting a rat, but Iâm still doing a bunch of research because Iâm still going to try and get rats one day
Iâve been watching you and Shadow the Rat all night because when I get a new house I really want to convince my mom to let me get rats.
I had two brothers, Mochi and Dango
Iâm getting two more rats to introduce to our already existing pair. Our rats are so sweet Iâm hoping for the best outcome :)
Btw, they look so sweet, how did you not intervene? Oh, it's so unnerving! Oh, goodness, guinea pigs can be worse! The way they groom each other and interact is some of the most awesome behaviour I have ever seen!
Susan Aponte haha I just introduced a new guinea pig to my rescue one who hasnt had a companion for over a year.. Theyre getting along pretty fine as of today but yesterday they were squabbling and chasing each other
So cute! >~
Awww their so cute â„ïž I love their patterns! Aww what's up with the stubby tail? Did he get chomped on?
he did! if you watch the video before this one i explain it more!
Awww so cute
8:16 âDUDE I DONT WANNA FIGHT IM SLEEPYYâ
Oh theyâre so cute
They are soooo cute đ„Žđ§žâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Hello! I love your new boys and sundae and sprout of course, I was wondering if you knew of any breeders in Bristol? Thank you đ
Im not a huge fan of rats, but this was quite interesting!
All rats except Sunday: hE Is tHe AlpHa!!!!!!!!
I have 2 rats but have recently found out that itâs much much better for them to be in a group so Iâm trying to convince my dad to let me get at least one (hopefully two) more! Wish me luck!
my aunt who breeds rats also said putting appllescause on them so theyll groom each other is very helpful
I recently adopted two boys and tried having them in a big cage together.had a few rat ball moments ,but no blood. Im nervous to put them in a small cage since the younger one is a bit aggressive. They are fine in free range areas though,im confused on why being in a cage together is different. Any tips?
