In straight line Smurf would probably take it, but I think if they did twisty back roads the Vette's suspension and braking will push it ahead.
maybe, the C7 is much lighter and the smurf 5.0 only has 80ish whp more than Dan's C7

Torque in the Corvette is way higher , add light weight and a much better rear end . The Mustang is not the same class of car , the Vette isn't using steel outer panels . And a GM Posi from the 60's is better than what they put in a new Mustang . Mustang want's to go sideways , Corvette you can let go of the steering wheel and it just goes straight .

Great videos with a great car ! Bought my C7 last year and LOVE IT !!! Not needing a all season car anymore cause my place of work gave me a truck to take home. I got rid of my EVO X for a M2 that was a blast to drive and hoon much easier then the EVO was ! It was nice to slide in and out of corners without having to pull the Ebrake. But more often then not I had to clutch kick to induce a less snappy and more predictable slide. Maybe it was just my driving style? Anyways with my Stingray I can just throttle it more , the torque will break'em loose and its MUCH more predictable FOR ME to set a nice slide angle. Plus one thing that neither the M2 or EVO had was a sunroof. As most vettes since 1968 with the exception of the C5 Z06 (and coupe) the C7 is a targa (+68 till C4? are T-Tops) top and I have the option of open top or enclosed cockpit driving !! And from June thru late Sept here in Connecticut its beautiful open top driving weather !! And boy does it sound even better with that top open !!! Bang for the buck its hands down the best sportscar out there !! It's cheaper to insure than the M2 was. Cost me the same $ to buy from when I bought my used 17 M2 in 12/18. Both being 2017s, but I've got the EVO to thank for both cars !! It held its value extremely well and I only lost $4k in the 6 years and 54k of miles that I thought I could drive like Colin McRae !! To be honest the M2 scared me more then the Vette with its snappy attitude. It a few times snapped towards the curb or on coming lane so abruptly and unpredictably I feared I'd appear on some fail video like all those mustang ones you see ! LOL !! Nothing against the Stang its another great bang for the buck car . Anyways sorry to go on and on ! Keep those reviews coming and I'll keep 👍&✌

ive downshifted from 5th to 3rd from a pull doing 80 to 40 to make a left turn lol. it was in my old car and the brakes were shot. but it was quite the smooth downshift and it sounded pretty nice with the backfire

As I do agree that weight is a big deal with speed and handling. I don't think you can really compare a hellcat and a vette two very different styles of car. You made the point i'm just agreeing. I'd honestly rather have the hellcat because of the better cruise-ability and if i'm gonna go fast it's probably gonna be in a strait line.

it was a corvette steering wheel first , and i think only the SS cobalt had it. GM tried to make the SS model nicer and got shit on for it.
