  • The government of Ghana has procured new trains for railway transport in the country.
The first units of 12 modern trains for Ghana Railways are to operate regional and long-distance lines and are expected to arrive from Poland by mid-next month.
Ghana's Deputy Information Minister Fatimatu Abubakar on Friday (19 January) shared pictures of the train on her X to confirm the news.

Considering that the continent has most if not all the raw material. Will any parts of those trains be built on the continent. It's time for Africa to reduce on outside products. Being purly a consumption block that provides work and wealth for others while condeming our labouring population to a life of poverty will never enhance ownership or development for ourselves.
