It's supposed to be like "Lavender Castle" if you remove the extra letters (a ton of people put emphasis on the VEN which sounds super weird to me!!) (yes it's an L not an i)
I was thinking of rebranding to a different name entirely, but that's too much effort and a lot of people would be confused sooooo... yeah. Also fun fact the name lavencas was kind of a placeholder until I thought of something that sounded better, but my channel exploded way faster than I would've ever imagined and by that point it was too late...
Name change might happen eventually... but I'm afraid of people not liking it lol (rn I'm torn between either laven or cas with a slight preference to cas)

When Lavencas uploads I can sense a disturbance somewhere within a 70 km radius.

So yeah that thing where Samael was crying and there was a ring of tears around him was Spirit of Depression. When you get hit with Spirit of Depression, you start crying and can't move for a few seconds and fire tears around you. You also can't get hit during the crying animation either
It took me way too long to realize that the spirits are the five stages of grief that’s so clever
I’m fairly certain Samuel and the Ferryman could be work partners, with Samuel collecting lost souls and the the Ferryman taking them to the afterlife. Wait what if the ferryman is linked to some super secret ending I feel like that might be a thing.
maybe something with doing the Ferryman side quest on each floor perfectly? would be cool if there is something implemented for that.
The Ferryman's boat looks like Charon's (I think that's how you spell it) boat from greek mythology

What a neat death Animation. Also that new scythe sprite is not just for Tainted Samael. Its on the normal verision as well.
Also I understand what item caused the crying animation when damage was taken
Spirit of depression
When you take damage starting the crying animation and shoot tears. You can’t take damage during this animation
This is actually such a good mod. I'd really want to see more of it, it's been a long time since an unofficial addition like that made this game so interesting.
When you get a blinded item and press tab button without living the room, you can see last collected item's description. So it could be helpful for the reaper bum I think because looks interesting :d

You can hold tab after picking unknown item with curse. The item description mod will show you what it does

you can get curse rooms for free with momento mori (unless you have anti gravity) by putting a circle in front of the door and then using it

I think how Bargaining chip works is that it picks possible stuff from the item pool of the room it is in and makes a little shop for it (hence why we see items in most of them but also got specific passives in certain room *cough cough rock bottom*) and then weighs it against what you have for a trade. Most of it is money but you can actually trade items too. Neat concept.

You know, I really love Samael mode and currently playing it but Spirit of Acceptance feels kinda rigged tho, %50 is a bit much since he is copying from that room's item pool and works with after-created items like reverse fool or something.
Not complaining tho, possibly one of the best Isaac mods ever. Hope try Fiend Folio soon
Yes, I would say it's almost better than the sword of Damocles since even with a 50% chance you don't risk dying, curse of blindness is not a big deal, especially with black candle

@@nerotheone1234 Spirit of Acceptance overwrites Black Candle. So, even If you got the Black candle, curse of the blind still remains, I tried yesterday.
@@kiriyarin_9691 HOWEVER, it does NOT override another item from this mod called Spirit of Denial which is it's counterpart. The two of them together are insane: no luck loss from Spirit of Denial, the ability to reroll one collectible or item PER ROOM, no curse of the blind from Acceptance, and you still keep the item chance. Tbh the Spirit Items should be Quality 4 as all 3 are absolutely incredible
You can use Memento Mori to enter and exit Curse rooms for free! If you put the first sigil as close to the door as you can, you can use the ability's invulnerability frames to go through the door!
You should see that guy with a damocles. It's basically has a chance to pay out infinite items from just one pedestal. I have aquired whole planetarium pool with just a one planetarium lol, and it was a lost run too :)

So ive been watching for a bit and i was wondering, is it not effective to Place the memento in a straight line rather than waiting to get to the other side of the room. Or like as youre walking to the other side place some more along the path. Cause the memento has a slight aoe to it. Also didnt you say the damage increases the more you place it.?

Sometimes dark bum is amazing on the characters like blue baby and azazle but other times on characters that actually have heart containers it will easily end many runs

The one thing that got Lavencas to accept Curse of the Blind.
I played yesterday and getting Spirit of Denial and Spirit of Acceptance together is the best synergy I've had in my whole life. 100/10 Free Win.

I still recommend using a mod that replaces ❓in curse of the blind with black outlines of the items. I feel like this is much more fair to the player than what we're having right now.

Fun fact, you can use Memento Mori to get immunity frames when passing through a Curse room. I found that out yesterday.
Does it work with the Anti grav synergy as well? Seems the s are then lost.

@@RockylarsYT Yup, just tried it, since you remain in your place when you cast Memento Mori, it doesn't really give you any i-frames. So yeah, you cannot pass through Curse rooms without taking damage.

А я делаю так: Если мне может выпасть Наводящаяся Тролль-Бомба, я ставлю метку в начале комнаты, чтоб улететь, и ещё в конце рывка ты ненадолго становишься неуязвим, так что шипастым комнатам передаю привет. И ещё - иногда я использую только снаряд после рывка, либо сами символы, либо только рывок. Баланс иногда сложно найти с разными билдами. Вот у меня был забег, где я получил имбу из Tractor Beam, Микормиозиса и самонаводки.

As i was about to ask about the blitted die it showed up

Am I the only one who saw ferryman and immediately thought "oh look its river person from undertale"?
in fact this thing crashed me several times, if you have spirit of that shop guy and spirit of acceptance it will have 50% chance to spawn free item just from spawning trade offer. BUT it doesnt end here, if you have dead cat or any extra life AND have "first page" active (spawns isaac with same artifacts that you hold) then there will be doubled trade offers and even more chances to get extra free item (or even two). And it is still doesnt end here, first page recharges up on entering new floor and kills summoned isaac from previous floor, BUT he has extra life and will comeback to life (he won't have a trigger of death anymore since game thinks he got his trigger...) and you can spawn a second isaac and now you have 3 spirits of acceptance and 3 trade offer items.
The cool thing here is that you can still multiply amount of characters on screen and literally can just from one click make 6+ items for free (although now your game will you milk/crash)

I had a recent run with this item and the other item that removes curse of the blind and shows you the hidden object in alt path.
Those two combined gave me a free sacred heart!
Too bad they are in opposite deal pools xD
If you wonder how I got both, I got the blind one first then on a sacrifice room I used the dice on the item it spawned and gave me Echarist.
Spirit of Denial. Absolutely pog item that is a run maker right alongside Spirit of Acceptance and Spirit of Anger.
