In my latest pencil drawing, I've tackled the challenge of capturing the rugged texture of a rhino. This video is a personal journey through the layers of texture in my artwork. I'll share my thoughts on each layer's intention and the reasons behind my choices. It's been a learning experience, full of reflection and a surprisingly cathartic process. If you're curious about the nuances of texture in art or just enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process, I hope you'll find this video both informative and relatable. Join me in exploring the subtle yet powerful role of texture in bringing a drawing to life.

Adding a black background really makes the from light areas stand out. Really helps too create depth
I agree with you
Awesome ❤
Hi Jono! Congrats for the drawing, it looks amazing! 👌 A personal opinion, the area where the tail connects with the body, the upper zone, looks a little too bright and (for me at least) and distracts the eye constantly and I keep going back to it when enjoying the final drawing. Just my 2 cents, beautiful art work none the less! 🔥
How do you display a finished piece? Is it usually framed, behind glass? Or do you leave that up to whoever ends up with it?
Lovely work, very inspirational for us beginners. :)

If you go to his channel and go through the list of his videos, you'll see a title that says something like what tools or pencils or graphite he uses. The video and explanation are probably better than any answer he can give you here. I hope this helps.
Are you using grid method?
How long would it take a baby artist like me to get to this level?
Hello there. I think (it’s just an opinion that you can ignore). If you just started. Like. With zero experience. Then it can take you a year to start seeing the form of this art. Another year to enhance your creativity to a level where you will believe doing what Jono does as reachable. And after that time is no limit man. You’ll do whatever you want to do in what would seem to you as in no time and you will not notice the time passing by after that. It took Jono ten years.
@@harunpartap8583 thank you so much, I've been drawing for 2years now and I am Soo grateful for your opinion. Now I have something like a timeline I can look forward to
