My name is Aleks and in this video I take a closer look at the Armin Strom Tribute 1 in rose gold.
Armin Strom is an independent watchmaking brand from Biel, Switzerland. Originally founded by the watchmaker Armin Strom who was famous for his skeletonization skills.
The Tribute 1 is one of their latest watches and it is a watch that is a contemporary dress watch according to the brand and their philosophy. A very interesting piece that offers exquisite finishing.

How do you like the watch?
I too am a fan of Swiss independent watchmaking, more interesting and individual pieces come from it than say the Holy Trinity. I've had the opportunity to have a look at one of their Resonance watches up close and personal, more characteristic in terms of skeletonisation. I found that one way 'too much', I couldn't look at it for any amount of time, so much polished detail. This one is more to my liking, a more elegant and friendly piece. Smaller and slimmer too which suits me better.

Even some beveling on the wheel in the back, even though it looks machine finished. Nice vid!
Seems very approachable for a haute horological timepiece. Only risk might be that the fortunes of ownership run with the fate of the company. I wonder what watchmakers do to ensure resiliency for the future but this is still an appealing consideration.
Their base movements, while finely finished, don't use any proprietary technology. Thus, they could be serviced by capable third-party watchmakers. Not that I would recommend that unless there is no other choice.
