Was randomly listening to Nick Cave and Birthday Party songs this evening, then this one came up and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I lost my dad to prostate cancer on July 25th 2023. I wasn't the easiest son to raise or deal with, but damn he loved me no matter what. I'm just glad I was able to tell him that I loved him before it happened. Not everyone gets to do that. But damn this song stings. I miss him so much.

Mark Kozelek performed a cover of this at this year's Latitude festival in Suffolk in dedication to Nick Cave. Never heard this song before but this is great stuff. So sad that Cave lost his child so young. It shouldn't happen to anyone.
