super fluffy & moist FRUIT CAKE | recipe

- Prepare fruits
1/2 cup prunes
1/2 cup cherries
1/2 cup cranberries
1/2 /cup raisins
1/2 cup grape juice
Blend to a chunky consistency
This should give you 1 1/2 cups of blended fruits.
Cake batter
1 1/2 cups blended fruits
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 sticks butter= 1 cup
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp lemon zest
1/3 cup of regular fruits for garnish toss them in flour first before adding to prevent them sinking to the bottom
Pre heat oven to 325 bake for 1 hour or at least until you insert a skewer or tooth pick and it comes out clean.

For Fathers Day today, my 8 & 5 year old kids helped make this cake. It was that simple and easy to follow. Huge hit in the house and half is already gone!! Even the children who dislike fruit cake devoured it. Only thing I changed was blending the fruits smooth for the kids. Excellent recipe and my now go to for Fruit Cake. Thanks a ton Candy!!

Came out really nice except I should not flour the fruits at top it looks like whitish color overall great. I used a sml applesauce instead of grape juice
