I like that you show respect for the native people of Australia. The way it should be!
agrea with that :-)
That was the quickest 31 minutes ever.
Excellent. Well done guys. Love it. What dreams are made of.
So awsome to see something in another part of the world that you might see in your own back yard. 24:59 you guys call those trees Boab I believe, I'm from Zambia 🇿🇲 and we have the same trees here almost the same name but we call them Baobab. Seem some here that takes 14 people holding hands to go around its girth. Love the content guys keep it up can't wait to ne day visit Australia till then I'm gonna live through your videos.
Great bit on the bush tucker! Knowing where our food comes from and what we've used it for is so valuable!
16:01 Spectacular!. Ronny thanks for taking us along on your journey of discoveries. Photography/videography and the region is soooo excellent.
Great episode mate, enjoyed it 👌
Yours was better 🤏
Thanks mate
Thanks for the demo of your rear winch on the troopy that got bogged while in 2 wheel drive . Nice country up there , bring on part 3 :-)
Can assure you, I was in 4 low mate. Just such soft sand and no lockers, it didn't take much to pop up with Ronnys help 👌
Whoever is doing the video camera production is doing an amazing job. Thanks crew!
Captivating & most enjoyable. Glad I'm not there, being from the Territory I know about the heat. You gotta be tough.
Takes it toll on you after a while
Another awesome episode. The Doon Doon Gorge looked fantastic. Looking forward to the next episode. Great work Ronny and everyone else involved. Cheers, Jeff. 👍😀🦘🐠🐟🍺
Awesome intro music! Nice change from the classic Ronny Dahl intro
A great watch. Top quality. Get to see our beautiful country and hear from our indigenous people and the natural affinity they have with their land.
Staying under the car with the jack in the sand and the tire off :-) Thats brave!
There is a wheel under the chassis should it drop
I use almost the exact same hanging tent fan as your buddy's green one. with some rechargeable D batteries its a good light and perfect quiet lil fan. If you arent already i find with some nice beefy batteries the fan runs a lil faster. Hadn't seen anyone else using one before. Must be a smart fella that one.
9:25 - Harry thinks Ronny is too tall & tries to lop him off at the knees 😂 Good series so far Ronny 👍👍
saw that with that moment with the chain saw
Very cool choice of soundtrack at 3 min in, makes it feel epic and exciting
I love these videos. The last decade i have been thinking about moving to AUS. The real true life is there. Recently bought a house in Belgium... So the next at least 10 years i’ll be here. Maybe then i have enough money to move without too much risks. Meanwhile experiencing Australia via Ronny Dahl 😉
b8e71fcbe2e195c67d8d16734013d20f just do it, our country is the best.
Great viewing. Thanks Ronny. Big 👍🏾 from Papua New Guinea🇵🇬
Still knocking out classics ronny cheers dude
Great video Ronny! Thanks for taking us along for the ride! George.
Best Adventure series so far by you Ronny!
That was another great episode of the Kimberly in the wet season 👍. Guess more of Ronny's closet fans with the thumbs down lol. Eagerly awaiting episode three. Keep up the great work guys.
Another great vid guys! Can't wait to get up there one day
Just catching up with the series. The Doon Doon gorge water entry would have been a great place for the Maxtrax. Great episode and on to the 3rd.
Nah. The stock dual cab made it easily - the rest is just for the video. Bit like most of the off-road vids - they get stuck/boogged/winched out of places with the bypass track showing clearly in the background :)
That is a great gorge/waterhole !! Tip for stakes - maybe use surveyors paint so you can spot them on the way out. ;)
Yeah, I wondered about that. Just spray paint them orange... but would that not be OK because it's some type of park land?
That’s a great idea mate in a situation like that. We had many to memorize and just failed on the worst one
Brilliant work Ronnie and crew.
At 22:30 you reef the wheel off the rear of a prone vehicle while a person lies under the rear, first on his side, then lying on his back. The vehicle is on a dirt slope and supported by a failure prone bottle jack. The bottle jack has a 40mm ribbed top probably pitched under the round steel of the rear axle. The other rear wheel appears to have no chock. And then to think a 10" rim halfway up the vehicle sometime after is going to save anyone. Have a review and consider.
That bloke is very, very lucky. He should have a rethink too.
Wow . An accident waiting to happen right there.
i always love the time lapse footage on here and the second channel
thank you for other great detail beauty video showing beauty of Australia bush and thank you share this video
Beautiful again Ronny
I used to live in Darwin and where you are is much the same. That heat is terrible but at least you can travel in the car and keep cool.
I like you Ronny, have a new found respect for you.
X2 for the tent fan. They're great.
Without a roof top they are an excellent cargo and base amp trailer with a Pop up RTT they are luxurious as far as camping goes 😂
Great video, just like the old times👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks Ronny, have a great week!
If there's a chance of staking your tyres, give them a spray of fluro { pink } paint and they are easer to spot and avoid .
My mate Moosa says the 3rd wheel nut on the front drivers side of the troopy is too tight. And he won the 2019 Eddy the Expert Award so he certainly knows it all.
Haha! Love it
Good one Ronny and crew 👍🍻
Always good content cheers Ronny and the boys 🙌🏼
What hat you rocking there mate? Love the curves on it. Great series so far. Helping me get through the isolation. :)
Thank you, very nice!
Keep them coming Roni your a legend
Felt like I was watching 4wd action.... but better 👌🏻
Are there crocs in here. Now wouldn't you ask that before you jump in. But wow what an amazing place
Great episode. Shauno from 4wd Action would’ve punctured 8 tyres and rolled his car on its side somehow haha. Good to see you don’t set yourselves up to fail for dramatic purposes which All4Adventure are absolute shockers for too. And why does CZcams think I want to meet single women in their 50’s? It always has that add at the very top. CZcams.... I don’t!
Another awesome episode, killer work Ronny!
Awesome!
We must keep clean the place.
Torben graceful as ever :)
Waited all week for this
Awesome 👍
awesome
Nice one Ronny.
Did harry just rely on the bottle jack keeping the car propped while under the vehicle in the middle of the Kimberly.
We had the other wheel placed under the chassis
Bit of a misleading intro with a troopy that's apparently "stuck"... We all know that's not possible.
Hahaha I’m sure Benny will agree until that episode comes up 😂😂
@@Ronny_Dahl pretty sure I was just waiting for a mate! lol
Great series Ronny, wondering why you used a hard and soft shackle together?, didnt the hard shackle pin go through the eye on the winch cable? and the cable dampers are a waste of time.
Classic supervising: 9:02
Hey there Ronny, great video as always mate!
I noticed you appear to be a bit stiff in the legs at camp one, curious to no if it was from the big drive from Perth or were you boys all chaffed up from the humidity "lol"
love'n the series guys , well done.
Great episode. Any chance we’ll get a Crashpad review sometimes soon?
Yeah I reckon mate, it’s about due. Perhaps I’ll do that during the CSR 🤙
Ronny Dahl awesome, thanks!
I don't think I would have laid under that differential as the tire was removed and replaced.
Thanks for telling us what you would do even though nobody asked.
Reminds me of a coconut tree. Furry outside, wide inner with seed
Great video, I do not want to be overly critical but using a chain saw with out chaps and proper foot gear is very dangerous. I have used a chain saw for over 50 years and have seen too many injuries by professionals in the woods. A chain saw injury in the bush can be very serious and ruin a great trip. Just like winching and towing, remember to be safe and have a great time.
Another great video. Any chance you could dial up the audio a little for those talking? Some parts were difficult to hear. If not, then maybe closed caption thats not auto-generated? The V8 cruiser note on the other hand, always loud and proud.
nice one boys
heyyyy was waiting on fire ..... thanks bro
This channel has come so far I kept thinking about how well the editing was done in this episode and the different camera angles. I did wonder if you regretted only having one spare though?
Cheers Ronny.
Only javing one kept me on my toes but Torbs wheels fits mine too so there is a way out plus the trailer has same size
Have you thought about switching the shovel for a digging hoe? They pack flat, so easy to store. You can also cut saplings lower than ground level, so you don't leave stakes on the trail. Shifting earth is also easier as you don't have to lift each shovel load, much easier on your back!
1:17 that croc is missing an arm ._.
Finally out ❤️❤️❤️
Does Harry know the Hinge Cut. Cut under first a bit then go back an inch behind bottom cut then cut top. It will throw the limb clear and not rip all the bark off the poor old tree.
Willian. Direction I do, but this stuff was so soft and porous, didn’t really need it, it snapped so cleanly
how does your fridge stand up to being on the tray? Had a mate who kept his there and the lid warped from being exposed to the sun all the time, pretty sure they aren't UV stabilised, cant remember the brand
Ronny do you have any special cooling modifications for your motor in such hot conditions?
Ronny, is there a fourth vehicle -- that you just didn't film -- with camera crew?
Yes camera car we do our best to hide you might see it from time to time
@@Ronny_Dahl Bet it's a patrol🤣
I've always wondered if Crocs ever just come wondering through when camped by a river like that 🤔
Lots of wild life enters camp at night especially if food is left out so I guess it’s very possible fresh water Crocs would brave it for an easy snack. On the other hand if there were Salty’s in there no way would we have camped that close to the water.
@@Ronny_Dahl Yeah I've had Dingoes and pigs straight through the middle of our camp at night. We hunted boar that day and hanged the hind quarters up 8 feet in the pandanus tree, woke up in the morning 3 of them were gone. Dingoes are smart and good jumpers.
Did that croc at the start have a missing leg?
Loving this series Ronny. How are your parabolics going? Are they 700kg constants? I'm thinking of fitting them to my 79dc.
Mine are 400kg only still going well just have to replace the rubber spacers between the leaves every 3 months
@@Ronny_Dahl oh yeah fair enough mate. I've got roughly 500kgs on my tray so I might need the 700 pack. You must be nice and light in the back to run the 400's.
Much better than before
fuzzy paws
You blokes are game swimming in the water up there. I know you have to do it to cool down but geez.. I'd be shittin' bricks
No salties in that water hole so it’s safe from the big dinosaurs
So in all those rivers around where you guys are is is common to see crocks? Or is it pretty uncommon?
Common
@Ronny Dahl what is that Hilux @26:03?
Isn't camping on a riverbed a no no in that part of the world?
By the way, loving the series 👍
No Salty’s just fresh water crocs so all good
No I meant from flash flooding.
When I was a fieldie they always said if you camp in the Kimberly or pilbara don't ever camp on a river bed.
Just something I remembered.
Curious... the protected nuts/fruit you guys were eating. Why are they protected? are they rare? Just a uneducated Canadian asking.
The trees and the fruits are protected as they only grow in that region. Many other common plants are also protected in AUS. The grass tree which there are millions and millions of are a hefty fine if you destroy them. They are also a great bush survival plant. Just rules I guess projecting the native plants unique to Australia
At Doon Doon Gorge, you answered that there were crocs. Were you joking? Or, if you weren't joking, can you help a guy from the States understand why you went in? When do you go in and when do you not?
Fresh water crocs don’t attack or eat humans only saltwater crocs do. However if you corner or step on a freshy they can give you a nasty bite. It happens every year in the Kimberley someone’s gets to close of steps on one.
@@Ronny_Dahl Like Harry!
Hey Ronny, what swag was that you were using? I’m in the market for one
Crashpad swags kingsize
SAFTY !! minute 22 , waiting under the car while changing a tire? omg so dangerous . not to mention the flip flops while winching etc.
Where's the jeep ?
Jesus. Someone show Harry the proper way to cut a branch off a tree. Undercut it first.
Hahaha. Yeah I was shaking my head.
Who cares. It’s not a garden. It’s one of the million random trees in the AUS outback. It does not need to have a perfect cut.
Andrew Kelsey Don’t worry, I went much further back later and we neatened it all up
@@Engineer9736 Trees heal best with a clean cut. If the branch is cut to short to grow out the branch needs to be cut at the base(typically 5mm to 25mm from the trunk depending on the size of the branch).
@@Engineer9736 has more to do with how the branch falls after being cut, don't want the bottom to still be connected so it swings wherever it wants, cut underneath and most times it will fall straight down where you want it to go
How do u guys go running those v8 cruisers with there injector problems there known to have. And you guys are always in mud, water, dust and sand just wondering if you’d have any problems
Never heard of them having injector problems only alternator problems
To go with this, Graham from great off road adventures just replaced his vdj engine to the tune of $30k on his 200 due to dust ingestion from the factory airbox
The 200 air boxes has had a few issues but they are easy fixed if you oil the seal a bit which we do on the 70’s. Never had an issue with ours. Also we have been running oiled filters since day one. K&N currently testing one from PDP
Knowing whats coming up and happens to Harry makes me uncomfortable
Why do you guys always have your headlights on?
So we can see if we still have a tail in the dust and we are all going the same way. It’s standard convoy practice and highway practice. Almost force of habit
@@Ronny_Dahl Cheers!
Thanks as always, last piece of music was great, rest of the music was naff, but hey ho, not my bloody channel.
🤙
Suzuki Jimny modified
Great stuff as always but really lads, road building in thongs, lol, not best practice.
Hahaha too hot for boots
@@Ronny_Dahl I worked construction in 40°C heat in Florida in workboots for years, son. You young guys, lol.
@@paulspeakman551 I've worn Rocky Enhanced Jungle boots and recently Nike SFB Jungle(Coyote Brown suede) boots both breath well in hot weather. I wouldn't wear flip flops or sandals with straps either for road building, as well as no black hat(without much of a brim) or black clothing(contradicts the idea of shorts, tank top, and sandals). I also would wear loose fitting pants and a tee shirt(sun protection).
Questions to ask before diving in. Q1: Are there crocs in here? Q2: why does that chick have an adams apple?
If the black fullas aren’t jumping in, neither am I. Can’t pick dropper nuts off the floor, what a joke.
