Don't know if you caught this... at the very first when River and the Doctor were bickering about a plan.... The Doctor mentioned he picked the restaurant and River says "and you accidentally took us to the planet of the Rain Gods." In Husbands of River Song, River mentioned the Doctor had promised to take her to see the Singing Towers, but something always came up. I think this is one of those times when he was stalling... not taking her since he knew what that would mean.
A TARDIS full of Claras goes so far beyond cuteness overload.
I love to think that the TARDIS was antagonistic towards Clara because she always knew that 12 and Clara will become the Hybrid.
Moffat said that's basically his headcanon as to why the TARDIS didn't like her at first as well, aside from her whole impossible girl arc.

I'd never even heard of Rain Gods before this reaction. I enjoy Clara and the Tardis though. :)
I'd have really liked it if some of the Moffat era companions met, like you said about Amy and Clara. All the RTD era ones did, in the season 4 finale. Missed opportunity.

The TARDIS: (thinks) "Just messing with Clara's head a little . . because I can!" The leopard is a nice little nod to Arthur Dent and 'The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy', surely in the TARDIS' databanks, and she just thinks, "yeah, that's an idea, I'll just put a holographic leopard in the bathroom, and see how fast Clara runs out!"

Since she's familiar with the books of Amelia Williams, Clara should have said "Wait -- the Doctor traveled with her, back when she was young?"
I doubt she'd equate the picture of Amy in her early 20s dressed in modern clothing with a children's author from the 1940s who was likely dead by the time Clara was born or shortly after (there's no name on the photo but even if there were, it'd likely say Amy Pond - the Doctor never really got on board with the whole "Williams" thing ;).
After reading this comment i suddenly had a weird thought. Do you think Amy read her own future books when she was young?

Fun fact about Rain Gods, it says "written by Steven Moffat" in the intro but that's actually incorrect. It was written by Neil Gaiman and was initially the opening to The Doctor's Wife. It was almost the same but had Amy and Rory instead of River and instead of being saved by a surprise thunderstorm it was the glowing box from the Corsair showing up.
They didn't have time to film it for the episode so changed it to happen in the tardis and eventually Neil Gaiman rewrote the scene to make a nice little River minisode instead.

I only knew it from the Wiki's debates about whether comic strip version is canonical. It's complicated but basically a version of it with Amy & Rory was supposed to serve as a prologue to "The Doctor's Wife".

You can see Jenna and Karen together (if you haven't already) on a couple of Comic Con events which are on YT. Not quite the same as when they're being Clara and Amy but they do have fun talking about Matt and agree that he's wildly unpredictable and like "a whirlwind". I don't think that counts as a spoiler.........

Nah, that's where you remember something but your memory doesn't match reality. This is more a "Not owning the series 7 DVD/Blu-Ray set" thing ;).
While I find "Clara and the Tardis" fun, it is a bit weird that it is happening to the only companion who never actually lived in the Tardis
@Channy Whocares yes, but Clara (and Bill) was unusual in that she continued to live her normal life alongside her Tardis life. I know she had a lot more adventures than the ones we saw but she still went home to sleep after each of them.
