Hi Dean, I'm not sure what the differences between the XUV700 models in India and South Africa exactly are, but here in India you do get Lane Keeping Assist, Apple CarPlay and that irritating indicator sound is also customisable (maybe if you looked for it in the instrument cluster). It comes default with 3 different sound options.

I have xuv 500 bought in 2014 and i am very happy with it. In upcoming months i am planning to buy xuv 700 So far i am loving every features in this car.

Great video as usual Dean. Looks a stunning car and I think the only Mahindra sold ever here in the uk was a Jeep based vehicle in the 1980’s. I love the videos looking out the window and seeing the beautiful houses and scenery where you are

It is actually called 7 double O. Reason being every Mahindra vehicle name ends up with an O sound. Eg. Bolaro, Scorpio, Xylo etc. Same way the legacy was continued with XUV series. It does end with a zero but is preferred to called double O.

The XUV3OO is a really old platform, in fact it isn't even a Mahindra, it's actually a Ssangyong Tivoli. (Mahindra owns Ssangyong).
No brother Mahindra no longer owns Ssangyong. It is owned by KG Group.

You know you can turn off the irritating chime for the turn indicators. There is a setting.

Mahindra has some superstition of ending their car names with the letter O. Except for the Thar, most cars are named ending with letter O like ScorpiO, BolerO, XylO, MarazzO, BolerO NeO, VeritO, KUV1OO, TUV3OO XUV3OO, XUV5OO, XUV7OO. Heck they even have some small commercial vehicle having names like JeetO, SuprO, GeniO and buses named CruziO, hauling trucks are named JayO, Loadking OptimO, FuriO and BlazO. So I think you'd be the breaker of naming VooDoo if you call the car Seven Hundred, I'd say call it Seven HundredO 😂
Oh I forgot to mention about the best of Mahindra, their farm tractors are called YuvO, NovO and JivO. 😂😅

Mahindra Scorpio N and XUV700 as very good value for money cars. Also, they are solid as a rock and will last you longer than any other car.

i dont know wether they got lane assist ADAs in that model but here in india you can get it easily
There might be a setting for indicator sound because in indian version this indicator sound is different and everyone love that sound.
Yes, I believe one is able to change the indicator sound somewhere in the vehicle's settings. I was unfortunately not aware of this when I had this vehicle on test. Thank you for sharing!

XUV's design philosophy takes inspiration from a "Cheetah". It is not French inspired.
-- Front Lights -> Cheetah's Eyes
-- The Raised Bonnet and the Body lines mimic a Cheetah's shoulder and back.
The front-end of the XUV700 is undoubtedly similar to the current generation Renault Koleos here in South Africa. Have a look on Google.

Have heard Mahindra spent 3.5 years refining XUV 700.....these guys even own the Italian Company which designed Lamborghinis.

That's why it's not scorpion but Scorpio N and thar was named before this onomastics . That was the first jeep of mahindra and also that's design was bough from willeys
The Scorpio and the Bolero were two of Mahindra's greatest success stories. Since both the vehicles end with an 'O', Mahindra just thought it was lucky, so decided to name all the vehicles based on that. You can call it superstitious in a way, but thinking practically, it also makes the vehicles sound uniform, maintaining a pattern.

It's not google car play , it's apple car play😂, and actually it offers both android auto and google car play. And idk where you made you research it's not based on android OS
