Keeping gyser indoors is the best thing for efficiency but do not forget to mention here that if you are using it with gas than arrange some proper ventilation/exhaust for the burnt fuel bcz deaths have been reported here in where people installed instant gas gysers inside washrooms(gas based) and were found dead while bathing due to carbon monoxide... 👍... However the content and information is great

if you install a gas water heater in an enclosed area, it is very important that you properly connect the exhaust vent on top, to make sure that the poisonous fumes don't buildup in your home.

26 Celsius in a very high temperature to set your heater to. I live in Canada and am amazed when I visit some Pakistani families here whose homes are like toasters. When the outside temperature is near zero, a 20-21 degrees interior temperature can feel pleasantly warm and is also easy on your wallet.
As you mentioned in your video, there are no safety codes in Pakistan. Installing a water heater (geyser) indoors would mean proper venting of gases which can be a serious issue if not done properly.

Very valuable insights. I'd like to comment on your analysis of water heating systems though. You are referring to the first geyser (Canon 15L) as an INSTANT GEYSER. However, any geyser with a tank is NOT really an instant geyser. An instant geyser will always be tankless and it will have narrow copper pipes (like you have in Gas instant geyser) where water gets heated in real time as it passes through the line. Also, instant geyser can never be 2000W. Most instant electric geysers I have seen range between 3k-7k Watts. I don't have gas at my place either and the best solution I've found so far is the Canon Electric geyser with 50L storage, perfect for showers and you don't run out of hot water mid-way. 30L may work for some people as well but anything less than that is not suitable for a shower.

Excellent presentation as always. Regarding geyser, I would like to mention that in villages, people use small gas geyser that ignited with flow of water. These geyser can be linked with very small LPG cylinder and gas is consumed only when water is flowing through the geyser. Very cost effective as compared to electric geysers.

I followed SNGPL for nearly two years in Rawalpindi but finally gave up and paid them bribe to install my gas meter. There was a van full of pathaans who came to install the meter and believe me or not one of their main technician asked me for water so he can perform WUDU and pray 😀. At least they pray along with the bribes. Anyways, there is nothing that you can do against Pakistan systems. I always want to settle back there but every time I change my mind because of too much corruption in everything.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I like your practical and logical buying process. We don’t think of maintenance costs and problems and just look at the initial price tag, which can be highly misleading.
On a side note; not sure if keeping a geyser indoors has a significant effect on energy savings as our climate is moderately cold and the storage tank should have good insulation.
But having said that, we live in a time where to protect the environment we shouldn’t waste our resources and use them efficiently, so I am still going to say good advice 😊.

These heaters are readily available in all major cities as used heaters. These heater work both on natural Gas and LPG and their gas and electricity consumption is very low thus they are more efficient that any conventional electric heater. And since these are imported from Japan, these are absolutely hazard free and child friendly as compared to other conventional heaters in Pakistan.

    Deae Miss owais,
    I love your logical reviews.
    A few things
    - we need to introduce our Pakistani locals to an important piece of energy jigsaw. That is if your house is well insulated- both walls and windows the heating you do with your hard earned money, will remain warm for long and require less energy and house will be more comfortable to live in! So, have you considered retrofitting your house with external wall insulation?
    - by the same token of insulation, modern hot water bottles with heating elements in uk are superinsulated, so the water may remain warm upto 3 days after heating it! (Mixergy- check out this brand) it is a smart water heater, which can heat water in daytime by your silar generated electricity and give you water to use early in morning when no-sun is out! You may connect this water bottle to solar water heater to make it more efficient.

Your videos are a great source of content. So calm and explaining.
One thing I want to share from my experience is about electric water heaters. I had installed that inside my washroom. As there are no emissions, it is not risky. Another plus point is the heat dissipates into the washroom and the washroom provides some sort of insulation. Their insulation isn't bad but nothing wrong with having an additional layer.
Another benefit is that I keep it warm. So when you need to use it for a shower, just turn the knob on and you will have hot water for your shower. Within the washroom, it may also require less piping and heat loss into walls.
With all this, remember to install it safely, with a breaker that actually trips and only in washrooms where the size is a little bigger. Do not install in small washrooms where water can spill onto them.
This way, I find them very cost-effective. I do not require a hot water connection for the entire house. Yes, I need a water heater in every location but I have switched to this mode from having the entire house on a geyser.
