Probably one of the WORST minecraft worlds ever
oh my god, you're right. ive wasted my time.
Might as well just delete the world man, smh.
one of the best ratios of all time lol

@@tahmator1274 so true. This guy got friggin owned brother.
I just love the creativity that arises with such limited block palletes. The building style of "old" minecraft is so nostalgic.
That's exactly why I find building In bets more exciting, theres really no "useless" block, and you gotta work with what you got.
For me the limited option of blocks give me more creative freedom because I don't have to spend hours trying to find the right block pallet
It’s so cool to see how people in this year are giving beta/alpha the appreciation it needed to have
It truly is a different game from.current minecraft, you really gotta get creative with the lesser amount of blocks
We appreciated it back in the day too. People used to build like this, all the time. it was so cool. Glad to see it's coming back!
@@Ferrichrome It was appreciated, i am talking about how we moved on entirely from it, mostly without remembering it
@@RedmondtJacks true man, keep up the good work
But alpha and beta have always gotten lots of appreciation?
Honestly I miss Minecraft like this, simplistic and relaxing
True dat
in my mind it's a period of the game with only the concentrated essence of what made Minecraft so great
@Jimbo Bimbo who cares if you can't create a castle the size of Lithuania? It's your world and your builds, embrace the dirt huts and make it your own
@@LSqre the size of Lithuania 💀💀💀
Probably one of the coolest minecraft worlds ever
Using the colored wool as decorations to represent different things really sent me back. The thing I loved about exploring these worlds back in the day was seeing the creative ways people would use what limited blocks there were.
thats the reason I spent a long time on beta, it makes me feel ALIVE!!!
Man the old days of minecraft
Even though you are alone in this world you made it feel alive.
Thanks man! That's a great compliment
This version of Minecraft has something very alluring to it. It is relaxing to play. It lost this along the way. Things were so much simpler and enjoyable back then. Thank you for the tour.
Thank you for sharing!
The game *is* better now, what you feel is the need to go back to that peaceful era of when you were a child / teen without worries or the responsabilities of adult life and pressure
@@GabryyLG nah, I've gone back to these versions without ever playing them as a kid. They are more simplistic, and therefore more relaxing due to less hard or intense features. Modern Mimecraft is better, sure. But old Minecraft was different.
@@sporeham1674 I mean fair enough but the only "intense" feature would be the addition of hunger, dont you agree? Everything else was just a plus without being so prevalent
@@GabryyLG i disagree, i started playing minecraft when the whole combat update was going on and i prefer beta 1.7.3. new minecraft to me is too chaotic to look at imo, too many useless blocks, too many useless mobs, dont really fw the new music, dont really fw the new textures because it's trying too hard to be realistic, and on top of all that beta 1.7.3 is so chill.
I love the old style of building/decoration of older Minecraft with how creative it was with its limited resources
That's what I strived to go for! Lol
@@TheOfficialButthead if my server takes off you are going to be one of the people I hire to make builds because that's my servers build theme
@@DrawTaken ip?
@@DrawTaken sure id love to, just shoot me a message on my discord
weed eater#0244
DANGEROUSLY nostalgic, so familiar, from the sugar cane around the staircase to the airship, to the iron door fridge, this whole build is agonizingly era appropriate and I'm glad I got to see it
Im glad I was able to acquire that sense of feeling, thats very hard to do sometimes, so thank you bro!
Old minecraft challenges our creativity. Modern minecraft still challenges our creativity, but in a very different way. Both are great but It's amazing that people are still giving love to the older versions
It's like painting in black and white vs painting with colour
You really inspired me out of a creative burnout. I always build my bases as a hub to play but not to be home. My bases don't feel alive, they feel like glorified storage and crafting locations.
That's great to hear! I hope this gives you ideas to make your own cool world
Awesome world man. It feels like something you would find in an old server!
Thank you! That's what I tried to replicate, especially with the random cool builds, like the pyramid, minecraft sign, and floating island
@@TheOfficialButthead it’s perfect lol. Minecraft used be so simple, just build whatever you want and that’s what made those servers so cool.
theres something weirdly beautiful about seeing the classic textures and lighting of old minecraft that gives me such nostalgia
a really amazing world, I love the fact that videos like these bring out how different was to play minecraft back on the day, it was way more limited, but building stuff felt more rewarding, specially when you took a look to that memorable world generation, I dont know why but beta minecraft always felt more alive even if there wasnt a lot of stuff going on
1.7.3 was the last version of the game that I've played with joy.
The hunger bar, XP and other things they added in 1.8 made the game less "Minecraft style" and changed it into more like a RPG or something like that (in my opinion), and back then I decided to quit. Now after so many years I'm trying to get into Minecraft once again but it's not the same to be honest.
Just wanted to say that your world is beatiful and it made me nostalgic about those old times. I really regret that i have never back up my saves and they are gone forever.
thanks man, but yeah you really missed the mark on minecraft, I honestly enjoyed the hunger system when it came out 2012-2015 minecraft was very good, because you have to keep in mind, notch still had minecraft up to late 2014, so there were still "updates" and actual content being released, so microsofts reign of terror hadnt started yet until a couple of years back where they just stopped giving a shit about this cash cow of a game. But I understand if you cant play this game now, I can't either it gets too boring and repetitive, and just needs more shit, more items (IMO Terraria style), more incentive to explore. the best thing you can find from exploration is diamonds, enchanted books, and netherite scrap, very lame!
But you should create an old minecraft world, youd have more fun than you think, as long as you have ideas and inspirations for your world it can be quite relaxing. I implore that you go back for a nostalgic trip.
@@TheOfficialButthead I like the almost cognitive dissonance there (no offense intended). there are more blocks to build with and more elaborate techniques than ever before, but it's almost paralyzing in a way. at one point you would go exploring to bring back building materials for your base, but increasingly the game is wandering towards exploration for the sake of exploration. empowering the player by giving you lots of fancy toys, and in the process forgetting to empower your building creativity, which is why minecraft got so popular to begin with. adding more fancy loot and weapons and pew pew enchantments is just making minecraft like terraria, and it is impossible for minecraft to beat terraria on its own terms because terraria is just too good at that.
mojang unexpectedly took a good step by adding armor trims in the latest snapshots. these are fun ways to express creativity and must be gotten by doing a lot of exploring, but don't actually impart any benefits in combat or anything at all. if the additions from the last few years were a bit more like that, we'd maybe be looking at less of an identity crisis for our beloved block game
@@johnes4882 yep. Any game will lose its identity after over a decade of time had passed with new developers and owners come through.
literally so refreshing to see builds like this again, just stuff you felt like making that look good too. inspires me to go build my own world how i want it. thanks for sharing!!!
That means alot man thanks!!
Nostalgic and beautiful build! What a classic palette.
Thanks!
Man I remember seeing your old 2010 video and thinking it was super cool. I've been playing Beta 1.7.3 a bunch lately and having a blast and this is giving me all sorts of ideas.
The 2010 video in the description? Cus that isnt mine, I too am just a fan. But thank you anyways bro
@@TheOfficialButthead Ah gotcha. Well either way you have a sick world!
@@pepper8671 ay thanks homie BIG UPS!!!
this was actually so cool, as someone who started playing minecraft on the xbox 360 this was a really cool world and pretty nostalgic
The lighting is so much more genuine, all of it feels like so “real” and I mean that in terms of a vibe
I love the aircraft and floating island, awesome world man
The lighting the old textures the simplicity, so nostalgic I love it
Sorry to reply very lately cos the recommendation came a minute before.. I'm feeling so much nostalgic to see how people used those days for something useful or how creative they're! I'm feeling that those updates were so cool and thanks a lot.
thanks for still playing this version, your world is great
I love the creativity in beta builds bro ythis guy is such a good builder
been playing since classic. this makes me feel so happy. i started laughing when the classic herobrine spawner easter egg was shown. thank you so much for this build
Even before you mentioned you were a half life fan, the research facility reminded me of half life so much. Really great build! Brings up good half life memories
Very cool stuff! And props for the HL references in this video, lol.
Watching this video was beautiful nostalgic experience. Older minecraft versions were so simple (very little blocks) that you needed to be very creative to build something cool. and your world is super cool
This looks so nostalgic, it reminds me of the old days of Minecraft, great job on this, you did such a great world with such a limited set of blocks. :)
Amazing world. I have a 1.20 world I've spent hours and hours on, building complex structures with limitless block pallets, but this somehow seems so much better. The simple textures and the limited blocks really make every build seem comforting and beautiful in a way I can't describe. I think I will start using exclusively old-school blocks in any future builds.
Ah. I love this. Tis' absolutely epic and an awesome Minecraft World!
my respect for this guy that had the pacience to build all this 👍
trust me I had lots of videos in the background to keep my occupied lol
@@TheOfficialButthead anyways, i love Alpha, Beta and the first releases
the scp build around a spawner is actually a genius idea
i'll be borrowing that
Cool to hear!
Man the memories... Thank you for bringing back this golden age
Lol no problem, just an og player reliving some memories
This video was a HUUUGE nostalgia trip for me, made me remember my old creative world i used to play on the Xbox 360. I wish i still had the creativity to build like this, nowadays i just copy buildings from google lol
I really like the outdoor sitting areas with those outdoor restaurants plus the pool. They're beautiful and have this nice atmosphere and are visual landmarks that can be seen from a distance. Nice!
Thanks man! I tried real hard to make it look cool!
This is really cool. This type of video reminds me of when my friend would tour me through his world, and I get to see all the cool buildings/structures. Honestly, this version of Minecraft is just a blast from the past for me
It truly is, I've been playing since 2010 and its practically my childhood
Beautiful. I really love the architecture of old Minecraft.
Dude that's sick, really like the love and detail put into this, it really shows how much effort you put into this, what's more impressive is the level of detail you were able to do with the limited block choice, keep up the great work!
thanks man, Im glad it looks good
This is so cool! I’m playing beta 1.7.3 as well currently, I aspire to be just as good a builder as you haha
This video has definitely given me more nostalgia than any other beta world tour, wow…
this just brings me back to a time that won't come back
Man, this is absolutely beautiful, great work on this world, everything feels so alive and respected. For some reason, the glowstone+fence pole lamps immediately brought me a wave of intense nostalgia. I had a parkour map way back in the day I liked to work on on a flat world with a lighting system exactly like that. There was a pathway on the ground with ladders to every level, decorated with those lights, as I didn't know how to use command blocks to set spawn and stuff. Simpler times, now map standards are far too high to post something like that
Thanks man that's great to hear, I also made like a little parkour obstacle course in my xbox 360 world that I played split screen with some of my friends. Oh I would give anything to have that world back
I’ve really missed build tours like this, thanks for sharing this
thanks for watching!
This video is amazing. Makes me relive all the memories of old minecraft videos I can't find anymore. Outside of the HD quality it's exactly as I remember, even the buildings and their details. I love it
Thanks alot! I definitely tried to stray away from making my builds akin to modern minecraft, but unique and not boring box houses. But I've been playing minecraft since 2010 as a mere child, so these build designs seem to stick with me.
Oh your world is so cool i love it these videos gives me old feelings
Yo the Nihilant portal theme, i was about to do this on my world too, looks awesome
This guy is living like a king, even with all the limitation of beta 1.7.3 you managed to make something that blows the doors out of alot of recent builds on newer versions of minecraft in terms of creativity and the overall look.
Damn man that means alot, thanks!
RESPECT for still playing this world after a lot of time, i WISH i could get my old worlds files... i would cry
this was amazing i lowkey miss buildings like this, the I can only imagine the amount of detail and dedication let alone time it took
Thanks man, that means alot. It did take alot of time and effort to gather the resources and create these buildings, but it wasnt bad because I had fun doing it much like I did back in 2010
When I saw the thumbnails I immediately thought of yogscast Shadow of Israphel, especially that city which I can’t remember. Great work!
Also those gravestone 😢 my name is Richard :d
your house deco and building style reminds me of my old minecraft worlds years ago! epic world :)
Do you still have it? If so record it I wanna see it
I'm glad to see that I'm not alone and the urge to just build a giant "MINECRAFT" sign back in Alpha or Beta seemed to be universal.
Thank you for sharing this, amazing world! I started playing minecraft after the nether was added though beta 1.7.3 will always be the most nostalgic version for me. It feels like an entirely new game and one which that just take me back to the good days of discovery, conquest and honestly a melancholy loneliness as I build up this block world to suit my designs and image.
We're so lucky we have the option to go back
No problem, thanks for watching! Yeah it really is like taking a portal to my childhood, and letting my imagination run wild.
I got this recommended to me, your world is so cool! Seeing this version again gives me so much nostalgia, there's something about it that hits different. I love your builds, it's all super creative! Thanks for sharing this :-)
Thanks man! Cool to hear this getting recommended, I put alot of time into this, tried real hard to bring back the feel of beta.
It feels like minecraft nowdays is focusing more on the survival aspect rather than the sandbox aspect
@@ScKTM68 more like focused on the grind. Cus holy shit there's like 20 steps to get items that do literally nothing
Thank you for sharing this. This is exactly the kind of Minecraft I e been missing
No problem, thanks for watching!
Wow, thanks for the feels :,) it’s so impressive what you’re able to do with such a limited block pallet.
Thanks!
One of the coolest worlds out there - the creativity you have as well as the skill and design of old Minecraft is just absolutely amazing - this is how I wish I could build even in new Minecraft it’s just better
Thanks man! Really appreciate it.
Wonderful showcase, amazing buildings, breathtaking video. Beta 1.7.3 was the very first version I ever played. You re-opened my old memories. As a huge Half-Life fan too I must appreciate the soundtrack and your Xen imitation.
Thanks man, glad you liked it!
These classic builds really inspire me. Reminds me of those summers where me and my sister would play for hours on survival.
thanks bro, I put all of my veteran knowledge of og minecraft into this world, IM GLAD YOU ENJOYED!!
@@TheOfficialButthead you're welcome man.
Your builds are so cozy! I love it!
thanks!
Your world is so cool! Some time ago in my time playing Minecraft I stopped building homes and started building houses, but this gives me inspiration!
nice! good to hear!
the herobrine reference was one hell of a throwback. great builds!
theres always something so cozy about these builds.
I didn't expect the crypt below the open grave. Not the most trendy world, but very interesting to see all what you built. Keep building.
thanks!
This is awesome and very inspiring thanks!
No, no, no, Thank YOU!!!
Magnificent, great work. Thanks for sharing. The good old days
truly.
The architecture here really took me back to those old IHazCupquake and AmyLee33 letsplays though,,,
That ending half too.... dang lol
youve inspired me to start playing beta 1.7.3 again your world is so awesome! (also will definitely be adding the tree of wealth and respect to continue the legacy xD)
Lmao, I'm glad to hear man, have fun!
Worlds like these honestly give me so much nostalgia, like I found this era of Minecraft to be so relaxing and creative. Where "big" projects didn't take months to finish because of the size but rather a big project was some more creative than a usual build. This world seems like it would be so peaceful just to play in especially if you had friends join and just had a blast playing, like no need to rush and grind for resources like modern MC but just enjoy the game.
I've actually had the pleasure of playing beta 1.7.3 multiplayer with my friend, he was able to make a server and we had a lot of fun and make a cool little village area, the weirdest thing was, when we tried to visit it, we found a hole with a cow in it, and then it EXPLODED into hundreds of cows and soft locked our world into us having 1 fps.
Very fun tho!!
@@TheOfficialButthead old unpredictable glitches were always fun
Honestly I agree.
Back then it was a lot more simple and definitely more relaxing. This video pulled me back to those good old times.
The one point I'd have to disagree with is grinding for resources in modern MC. It is so much easier to get a lot of blocks and items fully automated with very little effort in modern MC which wasn't possible back then.
Overall I enjoy modern minecraft more but I still play it with my friends like the good old days where we just build up our bases and areas and build cool builds. Some take a few days some only a few hours but it's still great overall.
Depends on how you play the game.
This base was pretty sick. I’m doing a beta world atm but it’s lacking in terms of interior design, something which you did REALLY well despite beta’s limited blocks. Inspiration I got from this was insane, hope the base is still going strong
Nice! Hope it turns out well
Your interiors are next level, amazing work
Thanks man, I did the best I could
There is just something unbelievably fucking cool about this and I can't put it into words.
I love This vibe of old Minecraft buildings, i tryed but never could replicate, i think the mix of limites blocks plus the sound efects and the ilumination make It better
True dat
Love it ! Thanks for the nostalgia trip
No problem! Thanks for watching
This a very pretty minecraft world! Good job!
Thanks!
A lot of people want modded furniture and realistic things in their worlds but that removes all that makes Minecraft unique. I love worlds like these because they actually feel interesting and “Minecrafty”. I’m definitely gonna use this video as a reference for my realm.
thanks man, means alot
I love how the sounds were louder
Makes it feel more Minecraft-ier than now
Like take for example when walking in grass or on planks, opening doors. Freaking masterpiece
Now the game feels a little bit scary with very silent sounds, no music either.
Dude i love this, it's kind of nostalgic. Nice World tho!
Appreciate it!
Amazing work. I miss the old Minecraft...
i have fallen into the rabbit hole of mc beta world tours and i'm loving every second of it.
That's why I made this world lol, the exact same thing happened to me
Wow this is really great. I forgot how much easier interior decoration was then.
Cool and nostalgic video, nice work!
Thanks bro!
floating structures are very unique in this version thanks for sharing
i created a building on minecraft alpha 1.2.6 with friends one month ago. that's crazy how old version of minecraft is good. happy to see we are not alone
This is so cool! I miss this kind of aesthetic. Old Minecraft seems like a different game. Thanks for sharing! This inspired me to do more creative buildings instead of useful farms hahaha
EDIT: I absolutely love that reference 14:02
Thanks! I love making herobrine shrines
heroin
The base looks great!
Something I would recommend though for a future video: I suggest that you keep the camera movements much less drastic, as they are making me a bit motion sick
i think you're the only person to have watched this video who has this problem
I love how you also use curse words to label chests. Its a habit I picked up before I was allowed to swear lmao
I started playing minecraft in 2010 alpha, played on a private server hosted off of a friends spare old computer. It was so much fun, I was about to wrap up college but still had so much more free time then and I spent a good deal of it playing more or less this version of minecraft.
Some of the best video game memories I have are from this game and your video being randomly suggested to me from the algorithm was a joy to see. A lovely world you put together.
Thanks man, I also started in the end of 2010 around December. My brother introduced me into the game and as an 8 year old it blew my mind, I played off the family computer and my brothers account, then on friends accounts and then I finally bought my own account in 2018, but I still played thousands of hours before that. It's entirely a love project and a commitment of faith to the old nostalgia and culture of old minecraft
@@TheOfficialButthead I've seen a few others here comment on how people aren't missing this state of the game but instead that certain time period in their life. How minecraft is a better game now.
Maybe there is some truth to the former, probably the latter moreso, but for me I miss what was happening with this game as the grassroots community grew. Jumping in when we did, the advancement from alpha to beta, the nearly weekly updates, the game felt alive and we were all along for the ride.
Companies and developers take advantage of this now and it's pretty old hat at this point, early access and all that, but playing this game as it was improving on a regular basis and doing so with a huge community, that was special and new.
Incredible memories and a magic the new versions cannot recapture despite them being objectively better
@@ElDavideGrande88 well that's because notch actually gave a shit about minecraft, not because he created the damn thing, but he had actual ideas, and put effort in. Mojang now is just full of people who are there to get a paycheck, nothing more. They don't care about minecraft because it's not their personal project they've been working on, this is why we get such minuscule updates that add nothing to the game, minecraft coins, forced mojang-Microsoft account migration.
@@TheOfficialButthead I think the people at mojang do care a lot about minecraft, they are just less willing to take risks with it than notch or jeb were. (ik jeb is still on the team, but 2012-2015 minecraft was basically run by jeb rather than notch, he was pretty hands-off at that point) Mojang devs now focus WAY more on marketing new updates, releasing a new one every 6 months, and not having any bugs. I would prefer it if they just made updates constantly and *oops* dupe glitch just dropped. I get that a less glitchy/buggy game is technically better but old minecraft was just this fountain of creativity BECAUSE they were still indie, and didn't necessarily need polish to put out a cool idea. It also feels less like minecraft has a "will of its own," so to speak. They have a lot of devs and as a result it feels like they all are super eager to put int their ideas, so it feels scatterbrained and lacking in focus. With old minecraft, bees would have been added in one update, a couple weeks later given the ability to produce honey, a couple weeks later given the ability to help crops grow, etc. They were a smaller team but they were more focused, and took action more easily
you just don't see this kind of stuff nowadays
thanks for this, might give this version a try
I definitely recommend, it's a blast!
I started in beta 1.5, and this borught back a lot of memories :)
Glad to hear!
the magic and aesthetics of beta 1.7.3 worlds is sooo much better than any modern build and nothing can change my mind
Something about all this looks way better than modern minecraft. Its simple, its creative and it reminds me of what I used to build back in 2011, ahh good times those were
this is so cool. beta 1.7.3 worlds are so charming
Thanks bro
From what I can tell, the Stone Slab was very ovrrated in construction of making everything look beautiful.
Pretty pretty cool man, i'm having to rebuy minecraft, and just by seeing this makes me wanna play all over again and restart, only one thing that really bothers me is that in the old versions you literally had to place a torch in every single inch of space haha.
Thanks, yeah the lighting can be pretty dark in the old versions
"create a whole railroad that goes everywhere" man I love this game so much, lmao.
I actually started playing Beta 1.7.3 this week and have been enjoying it a lot so far! I made a small house on a floating island that the world generated, but i think i'm gonna make another house elsewhere and turn that floating-island-house in a storage, because if i ever want to expand it it'll require a lot more work (not to mention the risk of falling to your death). I also found a huge cave system and found 13 diamonds on it
nice man, sounds like fun
