Thanks man! :)
Great mixing is Yop Music as well Thanx 💗
LOVE THE VINYLS!!!!
The man has put in so many hours that he's worn the paint right off the turntable. It shows in the mix, well done!
Thanks man! Knuckle dragging these TT's since 2004 :D
I have the same turntables. The markings on all the buttons are decals and easily wear off. Audio Technical should improve their design so this doesn’t happen. Otherwise, amazing turntables.
Yes yes yes.....

Thanks Lilo! :)
Really digging your selection. I wish though you would let the tracks play a bit longer.
Just wondering, have those cartridges been helping you with cueing? I'm still struggling with that.
Thanks Spceboi! Was just checking out your channel. Lovely music you release!
With these type of fastpaced techno sets i fear to loose momentum if i wait tot long with mixing. Indeed some of the tracks can have a bit more breathing room.
Those concorde type cartridges are not necessarily better for cueing. Infact the old headshell cartridges i used skipped less. But these are also fine. Do you have a particular trouble with cueing?
@@ApolloJeff Yeah. I noticed some records skip less than others. But some skip once I reverse them a bit. I'm wondering if it is an issue of where applying/holding the record.
Indeed, some records are more sensitive to that. A warped record could be affected by where you touch the vinyl because it can be wobbly. But for straight records cueing on the inside or outside of the vinyl should not matter. Unless you furiously rock the record back and forth most records should not skip that fast.
It could be an issue with the tonearm counterweight. Not enough force on the cartridge results in faster skipping. For normal cueing the recommended counterweight of the cartridge should be enough. Same with the antiskating.
Other issues could be the horizontal tonearm balance, but that is less likely.
@@ApolloJeff That's what I'm thinking as well. I will play with it and try to figure it out. Thanks a bunch :)
No prob👍 Good luck with mixing 😎
LEATHAL
Thanks mate! Your micro aggression mix on soundcloud is also killer :D
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
nice mix man do you recommend this turntables? i found used two of them 250 bucks. thanks
Thanks Thom !😎
I have these since 2004 and they still work perfectly. The turntable has a lot of torque. Very handy with beatmatching and adjusting. They are so called Super OEM Turntables. Made in Taiwan and sold under a lot of different brand names. Still to this day.
A couple of things to keep in mind, especially if you are used to Technics SL1200s:
The platter can wobble up and down a little bit (mines do).
The pitch adjustment is digital, meaning that the record speeds up/slows down in very small increments. Some tracks are impossible to get completly locked because the sweetspot is just between those increments. The records drift out of sync after a while.
The old technics has an analog pitch, meaning there are no steps and you can finetune to infinity.
There are DJs used to technics who strongly dislike digital pitch control. But its no dealbreaker for me. It sometimes requires more babysitting a mix between two records.
Last thing. They come with a loose tonearm out of the box. Adjusting this the right way is a delicate job. The shop i bought them from adjusted them for me.
So ask is yours are adjusted. And if not, maybe check for a turntable specialist of audio shop to do it for you. A badly adjusted tonearm is not good for your records.
@@ApolloJeff Oh man. you are so kind. Thank you so much.. peace!
@@ApolloJeff i have almost the same turntable, Synq xtreme1. Have you had them to club or other gig? I wonder how thdy perform i club due to feedback problems.
Nice groovy mix👍
@@kalledisco Have taken them to a couple of parties in clubs and didn't notice any feedback issues. But too small of sample size to say they do not have feedback problems.
And maybe some of the internal design of the turntables has changed over the years.
Maybe you can rent a set for a gig and test them out?
Quick question, how did you manage to record the audio from the mix?
In this set the audio goes from the record output on the back of the mixer into an audio interface with a RCA cable. That is connected to the computer via usb. I use adobe audition to record. But audacity is a great free alternative.
You can connect the mixer directly to the computer but an audio interface gives a slightly better recording quality.
Hi! I Have a question: I got this mixer and I want to record set. I know that I need some audio interface, cables and laptop to do this. I have Pre-Sonus audiobox usb 96 on eye, but is there a cheaper way to do this? What are you using for recording? :)
Hi Damian. I use the very cheap Behringer uca222 audio interface to record into an iMac. The record out on the Xone is connected with a dual rca cable to the uca222. Usb cable into computer. Select uca222 in your recording program like audacity and your good to go. The uca202 and uca222 are the same ( except color). For me it gives a better sound quality compared to direct recording into my Mac via the line in ( most of the time not an option on new laptops ). The presonus will problably sound even better. You would need a dual rca to dual 1/4 ts or dual rca to XLR to connect it to the presonus i think.
But cheapest solution is the Behringer.
@@ApolloJeff Thank you very much for this answer. I'll consider buying B, but I'm sound quality freak so I think I end up with Pre-Sonus(coz you sayin' it's better for sound). BTW I enjoyed set!
Thanks man! Yeah i know what you mean. I'm maybe getting a native instruments audio A6 interface in the near future as an upgrade.
And for wathever setup you end up choosing. Be sure the cables you use are shielded enough from interference. Had lots of noise trouble with crappy cheap ones. Now use a double shielded one and all noise is gone.
@@ApolloJeff Ok! Thanks again & Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you too! :D
Buddy, where did you go, there haven't been any new mixes for 2 years?
Still here :). It has been a while, but wil record some new mixes soon. Probably next month.
@@ApolloJeff🎼🎼👌🏽
what turntables are they ??
American Audio HTD4.5. decks. These are so called Super OEM turntables. Sold under many different brand names for the last 15 years. All with a different coat of paint and some extra options but essentially the same turntables.
