I always thought Instant Crush managed to sound very Strokish despite being a completely different genre. I don't even know the Strokes that well but they've made a really distinctive, instantly recognizable kinda sound for themselves!

Their tones are surprisingly distorted, but not in a way that distracts or makes a feature of the gain being used, it's more a textural/timbral thing. I can't think of any other guitar tones that do a similar thing and I've found it really difficult to achieve

@@ericlayton8888 ye strokes have a very "deceptively simple" tone. there was that one Andertons series where they try to replicate guitar tones from bands without breaking the bank and for the strokes it was surprisingly tricky despite how straightforward they seemingly sound
I am impressed by the level of production that was carried out, Julián's voice sounds very clean and the song has all the style of The Strokes, I love it!!
