What's up IFAM! HAPPY VLOGMAS DAY 3! This video so far is probably our favourite of the trip. It was such an amazing and fun day yesterday. You shouldn't even have to explain why you take the girls out of school... You work hard as a family to be able to travel and explore and make memories... That beats anything ❤️❤️❤️

As a teacher myself, I am aware of the amount of extra work that a teacher has to do to adapt the curriculum for children who miss school. Many teachers already have a 60+ work week just trying to fit in all the planning for lessons and marking that is required (and everything else!). Why should they have to spend their time getting extra resources ready for your children when they already have a lesson planned and ready waiting for them! You say its only a few days but it adds up, the girls get long holidays anyway, why not just go during then?
@@faymarwood it's a misconception that teachers in private schools get paid a lot more! The school may be charging but its not the teachers who see this money, that's for sure

she is probably doing her work as well it doesn't matter what school she goes too

I'm not a parent, but do agree that travel is an experience and part of learning. The girls clearly excel at school from what you've all shared on the vlogs previously, so taking them out on holidays and learning adventures is not going to hurt them. If I was in a position to travel more, I would! There is so so much to be learnt and so many exciting experiences to live through. Big big big hugs xxxxxx

Good on you all. Travelling is amazing experience for children. They gain far more than sat in a classroom. We have taken our children out of School solely to travel. We will teach them on the road. The amount of parents we have spoken to have said we are doing an amazing thing for our children and they wish they could do the same. Enjoy xxx

We pay £40,000 a year for our four children to get the best education in a private school they can and I totally agree with you Sarah life is to short and you need that family time x

They are at school the vast majority of the school year and when they aren’t, they have work to do.

Having travelled a lot myself I can totally relate to the fact that travelling to all different countries is much more educational than what is taught in the classroom have fun and keep doing what your doing ❤️

No hate just making a point that Isla doesn’t go to private school and my opinion is that you spend so much money on schooling for the other two surely you would want them there as much as possible. As I said no hate but my 7 and 9 year old even asked why the girls keep going on holiday and not at school just doesn’t set a great example for the younger viewers but each to their own I guess

I, personally, think the best education in life comes from travelling and reading👍 that swimming pool is just amazing... can't believe you practically had it all to yourselves! I saw the comments as well. And I thought how would they feel if people constantly criticized everything they did as a family. I love you spending time with your girls, they grow so fast and time is short. I was a working Momma and I missed a lot of time with my baby girl, now she's 40 and I'll never get that time again. No one ever gave me grief for working all the time and missing a lot of time with my daughter. Bravo Sarah! Get that time in!

‘all the ignorant comments’ They’re just concerned for your children’s education it feels like you’s are always taking them out of school? I’m sure they didn’t mean it in a rude way, but it does feel like they’re always on holidays and not in school. Brianna Brown there were some very rude comments that I saw yesterday! Most of the people don’t care about their education it’s just the same old trolls that have to pick on every little thing they can 🤷🏻♀️ but Sarah is right, my bestie went to private school and got a month off over December! Always did her work at home too! so I think it’s good that they can do that. I think if that’s how most schools worked then kids would probably enjoy it more 😂

I agree that education can come from travelling but DisneyLand isn't😂 Couldn't you have gone in the holidays seeing as they get a month off anyway?
It's either Disneyland or somewhere tropical sitting by a pool. There is value in routine, socializing with children their own age, the structure of a classroom. And there is value spending time with families and much to be learned from travel to new cultures. With all the time off their private education offers them, why not maximize both? Honestly, you seem to very much prefer having them with you all the time Why not save the money? Withdraw from the private/public school you are paying "a stupid amount of money" on and home school.
