It is offensive to us black South Africans for her to say she black. Coloured people had privileges under Apartheid that we didn’t. Apartheid only ended 30 years ago. It’s not her denying her black roots but acknowledging that her direct ancestry didn’t go through the struggles we went through. The distinction is very important in South Africa.

Sadly, ppl are VERY intimidated by beauty... admiration can morph into envy and then into jealousy n even hate. Not being goodlooking or not meeting the "beauty standard" can lead to serious disorders if one is not emotionally balanced. This new era of social media has opened up a new level of self-hate that is EXTREMELY destructive.

Its like the fox calling the grape sour. Also, if she openly displays her sexuality that makes her seem too powerful ( more than a man as it is women who gatekeep sex). This creates an inferiority complex in some of those men and they get angry because they feel they cant get her sexually and thats why they put these women down

If Tyla is confident then others should also be inspired to be confident. This one dude that I was seeing told me that everything about me is so skinny except for my boobs, butt, and thighs. growing up as a black man in 90s. the light skin girls who look like Tyla and better were always nicer to me, infact 95% of all the girls who flirted with me or approached me first were all pretty yellow bones. I can count on one hand how many girls darker than me actually approached me first.
The ones who were mean to me, were mostly less attractive sistas or over weight ones.

When you say being pretty can also be a curse, i don't agree with that cos at the end of the day it's up to you on how you view yourself and we need to stop caring so much on what people say, cos we know people will talk weather you do good or bad people will always talk.
People talking lies can deny you jobs, healthcare, and education. Please stop with the “stop caring what other people think” bit. It can destroy lives, which is exactly what these jealous psychopaths want for their victims.
