Any $2 million dollar "Beach Home" in La Jolla must be getting ready to fall into the Pacific. I left in 1995 and was paying $1300 / month to rent a one bedroom/ studio style home 2 blocks from the beach. The whole place was literally smaller than the master bedroom in my current home
