Only knew Safety Dance from these guys. Saw them on 7/17/24 in Boston in the Totally Tubular Festival. Ivan was the best, by far. Blew me away. And now I have all their CDs. These guys are great! Are they in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? If not, they should be!
After coming out of 70's rock and then disco and then new wave and punk, early metal, the 80's had some really good music. Safety dance video was my introduction to Men Without Hats. ❤
Great look back at a song that was part of my youth❤. Ivan's insight to how he wrote these songs was amazing. Just saw him perform a few nights ago in Windsor.

For the longest time i thought the words said "safe to dance" nit "safety dance" and ironically that sounded better and might be what everyone else thought it was!
“Safe to dance” are in the lyrics along with “safety dance.” Just google the lyrics.
