In this video, I am sharing some houses for rent in central Portugal. I am on a personal project of searching for a home and exploring the market so I still have quite some house tours to go. Yes they where so cute right? The smallest one was determined to come on a few hikes with us so we had a little tiny kitten following us for a long time 😁

You need to take steps now to get there in two years.
Thanks for sharing your adventure. I'm also interested in a two to three month winter rental. One thought, being above that restaurant may be super convenient, but that can also get noisy.
You're welcome ;) Good point. I haven't been there at night so I wouldn't be able to tell how loud it gets. Goís does seem to be really slow in winter time, you don't really see much people around, so I think it wouldn't be much of a problem. But noise is definitely important to take into account while looking for a house :D

When I moved to the states for my studies, the very same practice of word of mouth regarding apartments fir rent and Community boards in resteruants advertising apartments for rent as well. I you caused me to laugh when you said that it was too large and you didn't need that much space, I would love to have that space. I'm paying $1400 in rent alone for a very cute apartment but I have to go outside to change my mind. Envious. Also, put up a pay pal link where your viewers can send you money. I may want to buy food for the stray 😸. 🤔
@Felux John Haha yes, funny how different perspectives percieve things. Not all the houses here have good insulation, and since it's going to be winter, the bigger the place, the harder to keep warm (and more expensive). So I guess that was my thought process in it being 'big' But I get what you are saying. Andd waaat a paypal account? I have to do some research about that 😋
@@tworiversprojects CZcams will instruct you, it's like a distant parent, lol. Yes, heating and cooling is another $300 monthly when everything is electric. What I can promise you is that your diligent search will provide that one apartment that will give a nice balance, so happy hunting 😀

Thanks!! My dad was having a lot of patience with me haha. At the time we agreed on €450,- for the last appartement (winter price), but it was a bit of an exception since he normally rents it out for holiday purposes. In the summer he rents it with daily rates as a vacation rental.

But, will be visiting algarve this month again and always keep my eyes open for interesting properties and maybe share it in a video.

Hi there, the best way is by talking to locals and asking around in the local cafés, which is how I went to view the last appartement in the video. Otherwise facebook groups are a good option, nearly every area/city/town has a facebook group devoted to places to rent. And then you can always look on websites like idealista.pt, pureportugal or just contact a local real estate agent (there are many). Good luck!

What was the rental asking price on the 3rd apartment?
Hi Calvin, for the winter months it was €450,- a month (incl.), he rents it out on airbnb the rest of the year. So then the prices are higher. Not sure if it is still available though! Have a nice day 😁
There are many houses for rent in the interior of the country and at low prices, but they are houses or apartments, which do not even appear in the statistics. These houses can only be discovered by talking to a known person who knows another who has a house for rent and so on. and even then they don't accept everyone. Success with your videos 👍

Try the bus, there quite a few good bus connections! But of course a car would be the best to explore remote areas :)
