There's a point during water staleness in which it turns better than normal water. This time is usually during the hours of 12-3am. This water, know as "night water" is proven to be the most refreshing beverage to exist.

The running water thing mostly works. As an X-ray tech I often had to employ this. There is a test that allows doctors to look for blockages, bladder masses or kidney stones. It requires the patient to drink water that contains iodine which shows up white under X-rays so you can see all the structures. Thing is the ureters (the tubes that lead from your kidneys to your bladder) and your bladder have to be completely empty for this to work. Generally we would ask patients to pee just before the exam but sometimes, either because they were only partly filled or out of worry about the exam, they wouldn't be able to. So.. we'd put them in the room and run the water and that worked most of the time.

I was going to say, my water tastes better after sitting out, because it loses that chlorine taste. Then you went and explained exactly that process. I always have a coffee mug of water that I fill in the bathroom every time it gets low, and sip on it through the night. The water is always grosser right after it comes out of the faucet, and becomes sweeter and less chemical-y after a few hours. I suppose I don't mind the extra CO2 in the water as much as I dislike the Chlorine. It may help that I don't live in a very urban area, so the water doesn't have too much CO2 to absorb.

It would be neat to have a video correlating heat and olfaction. Michael mentioned how cold water has less flavor (through olfaction). versus warm water.
This is the seeming reason that food tastes best hot.

I've gone more than a week, more than once, without eating because I had to choose between food and bills. I chose what adults and parents always choose. I paid what I owed and lost weight. I bought my prescriptions, paid my electric bill, water bill and mortgage. It wasn't fun, but that's what it was like to be a lower middle-class American. Then I got laid off and got a job at Lowe's, where I wish I had applied twenty years ago. I've been promoted four times in two years and now make almost twice the living wage I was making when I first got hired. Lowe's pays over $11 an hour to start.

The end of sleep and initial waking period are the time at which your body's water levels are at their lowest naturally. I tend to start my day with at least 2 large glasses of water +/- tea.
A corollary of this is that when we (often the cardiologists or respiratory physicians) are diuresing a patient (drying them out, usually with frusemide or the like) we need to be careful about the timing. Classically they are given early eg 8AM and 10AM - as we try to avoid having people peeing all night. However, one can often get a better diuresis by waiting a bit later - when the patient is less dry.

The Turgor Test is only effective if you don't already have a skin affecting condition such as Ehler's Danlos. I can drink as much water as is healthy in a day or more or less but the results are the same; my skin takes a few seconds to bounce back due to Ehler's Danlos Syndrome (which, by the way, would make for an absolutely fascinating episode). The syndrome affects my joints, heart, and collagen. This can affect the elasticity of my skin making it stretch further and take longer to properly reposition itself. Just a side note.
Again, Ehler's Danlos is a rare and mostly unknown condition that some have argued led to acrobatics and contortionists. It could make for a great episode.
Edit: To be clear, I have Ehler's Danlos as well as 2 of my 3 siblings.

Danielle Spargo (and anyone else interested)... On a serious-ish side note, I might advise that you are in pretty good surroundings if your water can be allowed to reach a warm room temperature and still taste reasonably good. (okay, some people don't care for the authentic taste of water... oddly)... But follow me on this one.
I live in a particularly rural area, and my water is spring water (natural all the way)... I'm quite familiar with the local geology, and regularly test it anyway... BUT I've been to many cities, and I always let the first glass of water from a tap sit long enough to be proper room temp'... If it still passes my nose and taste tests, I can trust it. If not... I worry and test it, or just buy the damned bottled variety... You see, it's not just the water you're tasting. It's mostly all the "other stuff" in it. Water has a taste (sorta), but at the treatment centers, they purify it, add chlorine (highly toxic) and some places still use hypochoric acid (even worse toxic)... Then they leave it in settling pools, filter it, and add "proprietary minerals" to "renaturalize" the flavor so you'll actually drink it... On top of all that jazz (and I'm over-simplifying because... comment section)... you've got miles and miles of pipes that it runs through before you even see it coming out of a tap or garden hose (most cities it's all the same water)... SO you might be really well advised to do similar things by practice. I applaud you in your current practice with the cup...btw... but now you have a fairly thought out reason (or several) as to why you should definitely continue.
And the Romans used lead to sweeten wine and water, so... yeah... :o)

Seeing the slow motion of the cat it looked like it was bending the tip of it's tongue inward like it was "lifting" the water up. Could that be how it drinks water? Just more delicately than a dog?

So like does drinking soda aka carbonated water actually satiate your thirst? And by that I mean if we drink carbonated water do we actually get water that are bodies can use?

I did a paper on hydration, and ran into hyponatremia. I was an infantryman and was told to drink 1 quart every hour when it got over 90 degrees, around Sand Hill, Ft. Benning, Ga (E 2/54) , that usually happen by 8am, Our MRE's have a "Ton" of salts, and I didn't think much of it. A few years later I'm now Disabled and partake in my states Medical Cannabis Program, I heard about
a "Cannabis User" who drank so much water he caused brain damage. Can you do a Hyponatremia video?

In the Philippines, the elders usually attribute sickness such as cough to drinking cold water, and also accuses that cold water can destroying your appetite, cause ulcer, upset your stomach etc when you drink water after you woke up in the morning in a empty tummy and stuff.

Peeing by sound reminds me of a woman tea lady who demonstrated to my friend how men hearing the tea poured from some hight tended to leave for the urinals.

What exactly are those coloured blurs that appear in your vision after seeing a bright light, and are they dangerous? (I'm meaning normal bright light conditions like your phone screen in a dark room, nothing drastic like the sun)

You should have Kurzgetsagt as a recommended channel or whatever it's called. Like add them along with the channels that are already on that list such as: Vsauce, It's Okay to be Smart, Crash Course, etc.. it's a great channel that's uploads are of high quality and they help explain a lot of difficult questions

The irony is that in floods a shortage of drinking water is usually one of the biggest problems. Run a clean tub full of water when you know the flood and power outage is coming. As one ages you get to choose. You can die of dehydration or lack of sleep.
