That 5,000 people can cooperate for such an extended period is a miracle.
Sometimes personality do clash at times.

Seriously. Especially in such a confined space. Me and my coworkers can’t get along and we work in separate parts of the building 😂
I had the honor and privilege to serve in the US Navy from Jan 1985- Dec 1988. I was assigned to EA-6B Squadron VAQ-134 (Go GARUDAS) at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. We deployed on board the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70), a mighty aircraft carrier/warship. I have only positive memories of my time in the military, especially my time aboard the mighty Carl Vinson....what an incredible experience!!! My family and I are indebted to and grateful for all of our nation's sons and daughters who serve in our nation's world-class Navy. We pray for your safety and are thankful for your sacrifices in the protection of our United States of America, and her interests. THANK YOU ALL for your service!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Thank you for your service!
💙
Thank you. Bless our Vets 🇺🇸💙
Many carrier deployments as well as the P3 Orion for a short bit. Served from 1983 to 2003.

💙 Coming from the UK, I would like to thank anyone serving to keep us free..... Thank you for your service.
Three carriers I served on,😮, USS Enterprise, Midway and Independence🤩, my old school trio :) but I loved every minute of my 20 year career from May 1984 to July 2004🤩. All I have is my most fondest memories of my shipmates/extended family. A million thanks for your dedication, friendship, and to those who serve now and in the future, I am extremely proud of you 🤩have fun, lots of blessings😇
I want to be like you! I wanna do my 20 years in the navy 😊
🇺🇸🫡🏆! Somehow only being able to say to you and so many other Dedicated & Conscientious Present and VETERANS “ BIG KUDDOS & 🙏🏾” doesn’t go far enough. God Bless. NRN. NoBody - Always 99.9% CORRECT and on 🎯.
I plan to enlist in the Navy very soon as an AD - Aviation Machinists Mate.. I’ve heard that they have both sea and shore duties but i really want to maximize the best I can get out of my contract/ rate given that it is an aviation rate at that but... in other words: I know it’s probably left best to my dream sheet but are there other ways I can maximize my chances of landing a spot on an Aircraft Carrier?? I really want to be on one of those floating cities, so many moving parts, so many intricacies and logistics, i like that and i really want to be a part of it all. Any help, advice, or response will be highly appreciated! Thanks if you’ve read this far..

I saw the (retired) USS Lexington in the 1980s anchored off of Corpus. Very impressed!
God bless all who serve and protect and safeguard our country, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
LOL, our Military does NOTHING to protect our democracy... Not anymore!
I was in a fighter squadron (VF-74), and served on both the NIMITZ, and the FORRESTAL. 🇺🇸

i remember the nimitz and forrestal in Naples bay, with the Vesuvius volcano as a backdrop. with the Vesuvius volcano as a backdrop. beautiful scenery, then they took us to the ruins of Pompeii, then to Sorrento and Capri together with the Forrestal officers, I was 20 years old and since then I have never seen a similar paradise and never eaten better pizza than the one I enjoyed in Naples.
I love Navy ❤ I'm a Veteran 1974 Firefighter, and Born on Veterans Day 11/11/1953 God Bless America and All Service's and 😂 God Bless you.
Thank you for your service!!
💙Eternal Father,Strong to Save, be with our Navy on the waves. Amen.
I served for 7 years as an MAA. I never went on a ship, so I love learning about what it was like through documentaries, LOL. I was a "sand sailor". Served in Guam, Bahrain, Afghanistan, and the Naval Academy.
You were lucky.😅
TAD/MAA while the Forrestal was Philadelphia Naval shipyard.
83-84.
@@JusticeAlways My buddy was on the Roosevelt during the COVID lockdown, I count my blessings most days... hahaha.
All ya really missed was more atrocious regs and the foreign women they made it worth while 4 me.. Not the regs though
I served on Guam as a radioman seaman for two and one half years , on NAVCAMS WESTPAC IN THE 70'S
2004 I was a security guard for the destroyer Saratoga, when it sailed into the port of Bar, then the country of the SRJ. Man, it was a five-star hotel, but a hotel armed to the teeth. America has awesome ships
💙
Thank you US Navy and to all brave soldiers serving anywhere in the world for keeping the peace and protecting our FREEDOM.
God bless all who served in the armed forces of the United States thank you all.
God doesn't exist
I love our Navy and our country as embarrassed as I’ve felt in the last few years I still love The United States 🇺🇸 ❤and would never live anywhere else and feel blessed to have been born here and have so many generations of us we don’t even know when either side of my family got here but we have been in the Navy four generations and love this country and our countrymen and God Bless The U.SA. and the people who have served and are keeping our freedom and country safe ❤
Thank you and your family for generations of service!!
💙 I served on the USS Caron DD970 in the early 90's. You have summed up life aboard ship perfectly. You could show more about the rough seas, some people I tell really do not know what it means like to list back and forth and to have waves going completely across the bow. I was a HT/DC search and rescue swimmer.
Or having your head and stomach turning to and fro at the same time.
but how was the food and other amenities they didn't have when men fought in real wars in a real military during the world wars?
When did you server on the Caron what was your rate? I was there 90 - 95 STG2

I was in the Norwegian Navy in my youth, and once we had a gigantic, american submarine visiting! It was like five times longer and several times wider and taller than our own, tiny subs, that only had 20 officers and two privates, haha. But they were meant for different tasks, of course, no trans- atlantic voyages or anything, just short trips in our " fjords"..:)😊
Had a friend that was enlisted in the Navy, he said the hardest part when getting back to land, was adjusting to color. He said all he saw for months at a time was different shades of gray.
Yes there R more than 50 shades of Navy Gray. None of em you want to remember either. Not fit for a basement dungeon...
Thank you all for your service. I served in the Navy 1985-89 USS Barnstable Cty 1197
Thank you for your service as well!
I nearly joined the Royal Navy when I left school at 16 but I preferred the "man, boots, rifle" mantra and joined the British Army instead.
If I had joined the Royal Navy, I'd have gone for the submarine service, its the ultimate test of a sailor.
Served on the Ranger Indian Ocean. 79-81. Life long memories. Proud to have served. VAW-117
I was on the USS Camden when the Ranger collided with a merchant ship. We had just left Singapore. Our captain called General Quarters and frightened everyone. I could see the Ranger from my GQ station. She wasn't far away. It was still dark, and all her lights were on. She came alongside the next day. There was a big hole in her bow. We all had to turn around and go back to the PI.

I served on the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN 71 from 91 - 94. This show did a good job showing how well ran the ships are.
What was your rate?
*91-94
I served on Roosevelt from 94 - 97.
💙 I enlisted in the Army, I did consider the Navy when Battleships were still commissioned because I wanted to be on those 16" Guns. I became a 13 Bravo Cannon Crewman on the 8" 203mm M110A2 SP Howitzer which was sufficient enough for me.
I gather people most be above average to be part of this unit.god bless you and your family and friends Aman ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have the utmost respect for our servicemen and the sacrifices they make to preserve our freedom!
It's wonderful. Imagine living in a moving city in the middle of the ocean. That's cool. Mostly incredible is the numbers of people's living in there. That's the power of USA 🇺🇸 .
Proudly served aboard USS Nimitz with VS-24, two Med cruises in the early '80s.
💙 Thanks to those who protect us by going into Harm's way!
I salute the dedication of these men and women of the US Navy on board these ships to protect the nation and the world.... Congratulations and best wishes on your great sacrifice... Long Live the US Navy and Long Live America!!!!
If Not America, then Who? A big thanks and much respect to all of those who serve and protect America and her interests and people. Hats off to every one of you and may you stay safe.
Salutes, &hugs to all our sailors! ❤ couldn't find a blue one!
I served aboard thr United States Navy Destroyer DD978 USS Stump named after Admiral Felix B. Stump from 88 - 92 God Bless America and The United States Navy 🇺🇲🇺🇲

USS FORRESTAL CV-59 82-84 Mediterranean Indian Ocean 82.
Lost seven souls on that deployment. Average loss of life per six month Carrier deployment was five souls.
Semper Fortis
Semper Fidelis
Until Valhalla Brothers
How did they pass away? Work accidents?
Back in my day sailors died from total bordem and dope more likely than anything else.. Or they found life in another place and never returned... I kinda envied a few of em till heard what happened to em years later
Five souls by accidents, one heart attack, and one by suicide.....
Five by accident, one heart attack & one by suicide as we pulled in from deployment to home port.
We had one on the Enterprise in the late 70's. The idiot was killed by huffing refrigerant . His body was found laying next to the tanks dead.
This is the most amazing piece of equipment in the world. I love to watch these videos. The way their jobs come together to keep that ship moving and keep us safe is just amazing!!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ salute.
USS MIDWAY CV-41 , 79'-81' Indian Ocean cruise , best ever
Son's on the USS Carl VINSON CVN-70 , making memories, making career

You guys are the pride and joy of the universe ❤
This video was very well done! Thank you for sharing it here on CZcams!!
💙 Thank all the military services men and women, way God continue to watch over you all
Proud son, nephew, cousin and brother of family in US Navy....fair winds and following seas....💙
Ignoring the enhancement of humans will inevitably be a key downfall when countries in conflict hold no barrier to this idea. My father served in the Navy; entering Pappy Boyington's squadron and retiring from service within the Pentagon in mid-60s. Dad was versatile, but it was the passing of his only sibling, a sister and her death at 22, who was assisting on a Navy ambulance having roll off a mountain that I believe really motivated my father’s career.
I have much respect for the men and women that stay at sea months at a time. Incredible people. I served in the USAF in the 80s. Loved it. I never got to go on aa carrier but would love to. God bless all that serve. I feel like a war is coming
My dad was in the navy in the 60s. He absolutely loved it! For all the sailors 💙. I myself am very proud of each and every one of you. Keep up the awesome work!
I love watching on deck footage of launches and landings when it's full on, it's like a well drilled dance. The coloured shirts and jackets they wear to show which job they do is a really clever idea.
I also enjoy watching the ship to ship replenishment procedures as it is extremely complex and dangerous but they make it look like a walk in the park....
There ain't nothin like the Navy life opening a door and almost getting french kissed when ya run into someone forehead to forehead or when U R on the other side of a steel door and it totally mashes your beak, I mean nose. And like when the hangar decks up top gets swamped out and ya slide genitals first into something really solid like even your own tool box... ain't nothin like the Navy life cept when ya get to them secluded island resupply areas and ya realize the girls are all naturally the way they are not on dope and stuff and they actually have a natural chest... Its all good from there.. Stay too long with one of the natives some big Marines will be along to haul ya back to reality nightmares..
Same here. I love watching the almost ballet like work as the deck crews send our GREAT Navy pilots off and back onto the ships deck. I was US Army 1966 thru 1973 and in many ways envied Navy guys and gals having plenty of good, well prepared food, a dry rack, close at hand medical facilities and recreation nearby. BUT floating over the seas of the world scared hell out of me (I was afraid of big fish!) and since my Step Dad was retired AF I didn't want to join that branch. No,, I wasn't overly disappointed that I was Army Artillery BUT,,,,, 🙂Loved this documentary.
I was able to view one of these aircraft carriers when I was driving through Miami, Florida and it's definitely a man made marvel!
God bless those work in the armed forces...thank you for keeping us free....Philippines here.
But ur president Duottet or whatever called formal president Obama a son of a bitch, sadly Obama was so cool and gently man, if ur president say such to Trump he would've deal with ur "Pablo Escobar Philippines President "
america and phillipines are friends forever thank you for helping us salute to america mabuhay.
I was able to do a Tiger Cruise on the Nimitz last year 2023 with my son. Was a blast seeing a ship that big move. I was stationed on a DD and FF when I was active duty in the 80's - 90's so seeing this close up was great.
Wow! In 1992, FIRST TIME deployment, at the AGE of 18.ABOARD THE USS HOIST ARS 40. VISITED EUROPE AND ARFRICA. But the Hoist was only 212FT LONG.
💙
I am Coast Guard and my first unit out of basic training was a 170 foot buoy tender stationed out of Sitka, AK which I was on for 18 months and we had sleeping quarters just like these sailors have. each "stacked" bunk from the mattress to the bunk above it is give or take 3 feet. there was not much room to get real comfortable. we were at sail for about a couple of weeks at a time with the longest being over a month when we sailed from Alaska to Hawaii for training. it's tough to get a decent night's sleep when there is always people walking around, whispers, people snoring, toilets flushing, etc. when we were back at Sitka, and I was off for a few days, I always got a hotel room in Sitka just so I could have quiet, peace, be alone, take 30 minute showers, watch what I wanted to on TV, and have a room all to myself. It was so nice when after 18 months I got transferred to a small boat station in Northern California and I had a room all to myself.
I have had the privilege of watching the restoration of a destroyer in Galveston TX. Such an honor to see that project. We also have a park (Sea Wolf Park) with an old destroyer and sub.
Salute to the Men and Women of the 🇺🇲 Navy! -PH🇵🇭
Served in the Army for 7 years but this looks pretty cool 😎

I love being a galley chef. We are the heart and soul of the ship. Be safe out there boys.
You guys are the best the world has to offer ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I know I get sea sick and all those tight spaces are going to trigger claustrophobia BIG TIME. Especially trying to sleep in those rack's, I'd be a basket case in no time flat. I pray that our Father God Blesses the men, Women, ship's and plane's on each of these boat's.
You guys are the greatest 😚 in the world yes we are very proud of you guys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I was on board the USS Nimitz back in 1988-1990 assigned to the communication division as well as a member of the Kitsap County search and rescue, bridging the Navy and local communities and I would gladly do it again even at the age of sixty
very interesting documentary...

Life on Navy ships is impressive, educational, and insane all at the same time! We received many requests to create a longer video about these three fascinating ships. So, here's the marathon! What do you think of it? Leave a blue heart to show your respect to all the men and women defending our country. Do you work on a ship, or have you worked on one? Let us know your experiences so we can enjoy them too. Let's spread these stories to make more people aware of this world and show how impressive life at sea is. Let us hear from you! 💙⬇️
nice information
Once again the US military is the perfect example of how a socialist society works effectively even if the country it defends opposes socialism. Insane paradox isn't it?
Well one can say any aircraft carrier is in much better shape than Joe Bite me... It's steadier faster and makes total sense...
@@arturomeaux4158I was on the USS Randolph C vs 15 during the Cuban chris in the 60s. We were headed to the North Atlantic. But we we were turned around
And headed. We were told there was a submarine out there to be on the lookout for it. Someone eating in pilots were coming in off of patrol and they spotted Periscope right on our fantail it was a world war II Russian submarine. That was really scary. He could have put a fish in us anytime.
A lot of information about weak points of this toys.
Thanks!
God bless America ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Uss Henry Clay and Uss Francis Scott Key two awesome Submarines my Dad served on..
Sad to see what the ship's stores have lost. We had a BX that sold electronics, civilian clothes, cameras, besides the necessary items like personal hygiene. We also got Navy style writing paper, pens, even drawing pads and pencils.
was in 1991 two days on the eisenhower 69 flying from puerto rico roosevelt roads. had a tour on the ship during an excersise. its the greatest experience i ever had in my life. i never forget the enhusiasment and the good mood the whole crew was working with..for that reason usa will stay nr. 1 in the world.i saw the most incredeble aicraft that time in service the f14 tomcat.
Excellent
This is amazing beyond any amegintion ❤

These sailers are fed well & so they should be, I’m curious to know how they feed 5k, do they have a rotating breakfast, lunch & dinner? Hats off to all aboard. The kitchen must be a 24/7 job, just the prep work alone is huge let alone all the cooking, it’s truly amazing. Can you smoke because I’m sure I saw cigars for sale in the supermarket, what about alcohol, is it permitted?
Wow I'm the smell in those sleeping areas is horrible 😂 if someone is OCD!! it's a wrap for them 😅
