I used to watch this show every time we visited my grandparents. My granddaddy always called the conductor "BIlly Goat." I"ll never forget that!
This is a great episode for us Disney Fans. Thanks for sharing.
Me,too.. Mitch Miller was a Billy Goat looking fellow, wiht the pointed goatee.!
Bobby was an original Mouseketeer with Annette Funicello and Cubby O’Brien (drummer for The Carpenters)
I was getting worried they wouldn't include the part where the audience crowds in dancing, trying to get on camera. But it's there, phew.
I'll never forget the cute couple dressed in plaid that used to dance at Disneyland, way before they turned that band area into Royal Theatre. 👯⏳🍾
Me recuerda mi infancia hace 55 años
So nice to see Larry hooper again.
That's so cool!
Could it get any more wholesome? Zowie.
Feed the Birds was Walt Disney Favorite song
I wonder if the welk estate still owns the ocean Ave welk bldg in Santa Monica? Their tenant in the 89s was café casino, where you always get dessert first and could hear the lovely , massive milk frothing machine. 💸🌺🎏❣
For Billy Goat they could ask Burl Ives to sing Lavender Blue
JImmy uUrante would have done well with Feed the Birds..(by then the'd retired..) Too abd the Lennon Sisters (who'd appeared in their late 60s show with Jimmy) were on their own by 1968..
if you mean Jimmy Durante, the Schnoz, he was a cousin of my Great grandmother...
By the way, HOW is "Oh Happy Day" (major 1969 hit of Edwin Hawkins Singers) a DISNEY song? (Though it's good enough t'BE one!) THOUGHHHHH..I found out here, it's not the same song..:_)
Steve Carras they were welcoming him back after a long illness
Please tell me Bobby was an inspiration to Will Ferrell.
:D!
lol
