    When you open the fuel cans. Push the wicks up straight, and fluff them up!! It will burn a lot hotter.

  • @davebenson1294
    @davebenson1294 Před 5 měsíci +1

    If you pull up the wicks in the fuel canisters a little bit more, the flames will be bigger and will boil the water faster.

    This item looks to be perfect for my needs. I have been looking for a cook top that's safe to use inside (proper ventilation of course) my Chevy Express Conversion Van for Weekenders. The size and heat output seems just right for use with STANLEY ADVENTURE cook sets. Soups, etc., nothing too fancy. Heating water for Pour-Over coffee, cocoa or tea. Yep, very excited about your review and that you like the amount of heat it puts out. Thanks 😊.

    That is fantastic, would have been very helpful in 2021 when my furnace died. I used several UCO candle lanterns and a pair of homemade terracotta candle heaters. Luckily it was only the furnace, so almost everything we ate was baked.

    I just ordered one along with the Inferno bio-mass heater. I want to test out this heater in my Ford Transit 350 HD long body high top class B camper van to pre-warm the interior for travel. I have a 600 ah Lithionics lithium battery kit that I use all weekend visiting family in Ohio. I need to see if this will warm up the battery enough in freezing temps so I feel good about charging. I do think it will work well in that small space. I use Starbucks VIA instant coffee packs exclusively to eliminate all the hassle with a pot, filter, cleanup. It's so easy...

    I just bought one of these recently, but have not used it yet. The lady i talked to on the phone uses one regularly and she said she uses 2 small pans with 1 cup of water in each one. By doing so she said it heats the water much quicker that way.

    would definately be able to handle all homemade jellied fuels too, just maybe keep a couple sterno cans, make your own jellied for refill or just refill with methanol jelly, or straight in an alcohol stove, or penny stove.... or whatever ya got. nice little idea, for sure with the built in fan

    NOTE: The lids on the canned heat is on very, very tight. I’ve taped on of those openers to the side of the stove to always have it available.

      That's a very good idea! Some of those cans require way to much force to open, even with a tool.

      I suppose so, but to be honest the chafing fuel is so cheap I wouldn't bother. You can get 12 cans on Amazon for less than $25 and each one burns for 4-6 hours.

    Very curious in buying one of these. I’ve been looking into wood stove tents, but stumbled upon this. How do you think it would function in a tent? How hot does the outer portion get? Thank you for your very clear and informative video btw.

    • @weekendwanderer5514
      @weekendwanderer5514  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Not so sure about using this in a tent. It gets pretty hot. It’s much better for something like car camping.

    • @weekendwanderer5514
      @weekendwanderer5514  Před rokem

      It depends on how many cans you use at once. You can buy a 12 pack on Amazon for about 23 dollars and each can will burn for about 4 hours.
