Another tip for creating those corners. Using either fillet or chamfer, you do not need to set the radius/distance to zero. Instead, just HOLD DOWN shift during the fillet/chamfer process (after starting the command, but before selecting the objects). The shift key will force the radius/dist to zero while held down.
I see a few people have already mentioned using fillet (with a radius of 0)over chamfer, but one benefit of fillet that I’m not sure if chamfer has (not currently at the office to check on AutoCAD) is you can type F spacebar M, M being the MULTIPLE option, which just lets you fillet indefinitely until you exit the command. This saves a lot of time over just typing F, clicking line one, clicking line two, typing F, clicking line one, clicking line two, etc. I use this all the time, especially as almost all of my drafting is electrical, it really makes doing wiring diagrams a lot easier. Great video! EDIT: Chamfer does also allow the MULTIPLE option
I have a very limited knowledge of CAD; I use it very rarily. However, your videos have helped me tremendously with the small projects I have had to work on. THANKS!!!
Thank you for the great videos! Hey, in the matchprop command, you can click on Settings while in the command and specify exactly what you want to be matched...
First and foremost time saving tricks - get rid of the ribbon and toolbars to maximize a working area, then use aliases to start commands by your idle hand. Use it! Oh, do not forget to customize the right button of your mouse to use it as Enter key and to repeat the previous command. Good luck
