I'd just listened to a sermon on God's Correction. Having grown up steeped in severe harsh legalism, I felt I HAD to listen and understand God's correction. (I'm 72!) I kept listening, saying, repeatedly, "Holy Spirit, I don't like this." "Jesus help me." Anxiety was overwhelming. I eventually apologised to God that I could not listen to that teaching anymore. Maybe finish it another evening.
I remembered that the previous night, I decided to sleep with Barry's teaching looping.
I decided to go and listen to it right there and then. Pastor Barry is always gentle, and his teachings are full of deep treasures.
This teaching was such a comfort and balm soothing my soul. I copied & pasted every scripture into my journal, and transcribed a fair amount.
This morning, for my quiet time, I am going over every scripture.
I only found my God of the new covenant 3 years ago. Thank you Pastor Barry for your teaching ministry. I have learnt so much from you and will continue to learn from all your teaching. I am grateful to God that I found your sermons on CZcams.
