You know what would be even more brilliant than conveyor belt hot pot? Conveyor belt dim sum. That whole style of dining is based on small plates of food being whisked past your table until you see something you want.
Outside of COVID, that hot pot spot he went to (Top Top Hot Pot) does dim sum as well!

OMG I've been to that conveyor belt hotpot! I live 1.5 hours away from Orlando and we have like one hotpot restaurant that's still an hour drive from where i live, so we always make the trip to Orlando instead. Super cool I've finally been to a place that he has!

It’s the English translation. Mikey was reading the Chinese name. (The owners could’ve just simplified it for the English speakers with something they know.)

So I went to a hot pot in Florida and I felt so lost lol. I had no idea what I was doing and I thought, "I wonder if Mike had tried the hot pot here when he visited?" And now I'm here.
Rice cakes were my favorite to put in my hot pot. I wouldn't mind trying it again though, food was good.
Orlando has so much to offer I'm so happy you've enjoyed my city! There's so much more here than theme parks, a lot of people think we offer mostly chain restaurants but it's truly a melting pot of so many cuisines from many amazing cultures. I hope when you come back you have more time to explore our amazing food scene!
Double cooked chilli pork is my favourite Chinese dish of all time. Very hard to find a restaurant that serves it where I live.
I’m surprised you didn’t hear about the hot pot train in Taichung. It is vegetarian, but it’s so good. And I know you typically stayed in Taipei, you know there’s much more in other cities! You need to go!!

Light on Sugar is one of my favorite dessert places! The first fruit tart you got was the lychee raspberry, I just tried that the other day 😋 and I have been meaning to check out Chengdu!

Thanks for acknowledging Orlando as a great food city for Oriental food. It's not Flushing but there are great food choices. Some of my favorites: Hunan Taste and other restaurants in the Chinatown strip mall area, the food court at Lotte Market (Korean fast food), King Cajun Crawfish (Viet Cajun), Vietnam Cuisine (Mills 50 area), Mee Thai (Lee Road), Kabuki Sushi, Chuan Lu Garden and Na Trang Ban Mi.

I’m glad that out of all the hotpot places in the orlando area you went to, that you went to TopTop. They’re honestly my favorite out of all of them. Great food and great staff. I always try to go there more, even though they’re the farthest away.

Mikey went to Florida and filmed in Florida, several times, including Miami, where he feasted on Stone Crabs, etc., back when he was filming that tv show. He did Key West about 6 years ago too.

Lots of great food on Mills 50. Highly, highly recommend Tori Tori, a Japanese pub. And Domu for Ramen and their wings!
Everything on Mills 50 is bomb. I think he'd really like King Bao. Tori Tori is fantastic, but Mikey doesn't drink. But they got the BEST grilled squid, imo!
I want to see what he thinks of Tako Cheena. But yeah, all of Mills 50 is just great grub all around.
Went to the hotpot place and the bakery 💜 loved all of it!

The first pastry you had was a St Honoré cake. Very yummy. I love pastries like you love food. When I travel, I go into bakeries and I feel like I am in heaven. Looking at all of the little works of art makes me happy. Unfortunately, my stomach is nowhere near as big as yours. Or maybe, fortunately. LOL
I haven't seen Mikey in a while and now that i have seen him again, i feel much better mentally. Also I'm hungry now 😃

Another amazing food day to bucket list experience
Totally legit! Have 2 Misen knives, they offer free lifetime sharpening, but it takes several weeks for shipping back and forth, plus sharpening time. With 2 knives I always have a knife to use. I also have Shun, Cutco, and Miyabi (fav) knives. Misen is a solid knife, but one I am not afraid to let a beginner use. I keep a Misen in my knife roll to show, you don't always need to spend big bucks to get a decent knife.
The "Princess Leia" dessert is a croquembouche (sugar caramel coated cream puffs)....LOL!

Hey mike, I heard ur in Orlando❤️ Ik u love food and always looking for a good place to eat. There’s these 2 really good place i would recommend! 1. “Lotte market” they have really good Korean food and 2. Bao bun “King bao mills”

My bf & I have been going to Minneapolis for different reasons the last couple of months & he’s been indulging me in trying different dishes or ethnic cuisine that I’ve seen you eat. We’re both pretty picky but we’ve tried several things. We haven’t had wonderful luck until we had some Argentinian food today. If you know any great Asian restaurants or markets or really anything good in or around there we’d love to try them out.
My go to for hotpot in Minneapolis is called Little Szechuan Hot Pot. They are really good!! Get the skewers for sure. The spicy broth is very spicy though so be weary of that if you don’t love spice. (I go with medium spice every time)
There's this great little hole-in-the-wall place over by TCF Stadium called "Korea Restaurant." You know it's legit because it's where all the Asian ex-pats on the U of M campus go for a taste of home. Great soups, I'm obsessed with their seafood pajeon, modest but decent banchan with every meal, and it won't break your bank.

You take leftover pulled pork, pot roast, pit beef, or even some pan-cooked ground beef, mix it with butter and al dente-cooked cubed potatoes, a little salt & pepper, then sear it off in an even layer in a screaming hot well-oiled skillet. You get a golden brown crust on each side and serve. It's so basic, it's beautiful. One of the purest forms of meat & potatoes.
The key is letting the hash sit and caramelize for at least a minute before flipping. You don't fuss with it, you don't touch it, you just wait for it to develop that yummy, yummy tan.

Man, my family and I order out Top Top regularly, every couple weeks. And just went to Taste of Chengdu today. The other location was nice but the food was still good at Baldwin Park. Cool to see you in Orlando!

We ate at u&me hotpot in Florida on our honeymoon! We were SO impressed and they were the sweetest staff! 100% recommend!
