    Brilliant! Nice one superrod, i've been waiting for something like this forever. Pricey yes but when working on your own pulling cables through lofts and having to come back down all the time to de-tangle the damn reel totally worth it imo.

      @dsesuk  Před 4 lety

      It it indeed a useful bit of kit when one-handed. Or working with Nige.... which is much the same thing.

    Nice one looks much more forgiving than the reel saver. Its one way of getting rid of the frustration of pulling and tugging by yourself. Thanks David look forward to another tool tuesday. 👍

  • @ashmanelectricalservices4318

    Absolute genius 👏 What a great idea using both a traditional cable dispenser and the Quik Reel. I think most of the time when the cable wraps around the bar is because the drum core is so big, the hole in the Quik Reel and bar diameter are practically the same, meaning there less chance of the cable coming off, as it's a nice smooth rolling action rather than a jerky bumpy action you get on traditional cable dispensers.

    I cannot believe that you are leaving Nigel to pull him self off while you go off playing with yourself, but at least you have been kind enough to give him a nice solid tool to help him get it done faster. I feel I should drop a CV in and ask for a job, only you whip in and out of Tresham on a day I was not in......some might suggest you were trying to avoid me 😭, well that and the court order you served on me which I feel was over zealous 😜

    • @dsesuk
      @dsesuk  Před 5 lety

      There's a lot of interest in that, expect a video on it soon! In the meantime, it's a Garo shower priority unit available from Meteor Electrical (Ireland). Other solutions are available, or you can even make one from the component parts. I also have an article on my website about it from five years ago: www.dses.co.uk/index.php/free-advice/108-sharing-a-shower

    I find those Prysmian cable reels bought from screwfix that come in a cardboard box are the crap ones. They always fall apart or fall of the reel.

    • @dsesuk
      @dsesuk  Před 5 lety +1

      Those cardboard dispensers are awful. They may be okay for a DIYer who might only pull a metre or three off here and there, but a 100m reel isn't going to play nicely on a first fix site!
