Andaman Sea is a marginal sea of the north-eastern Indian Ocean. It is bounded by Myanmar's Irrawaddy River delta and the Gulf of Martaban to the north, Peninsular Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia to the east, the Indonesian island of Sumatra and the Strait of Malacca to the south, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to the west.
