Dive in concept designing of ships from tiny jets to motherships. I will walk through the whole process and cover 3D Coat interface, main tools, and the latest features (3D Coat 2023.23 and up is necessary) I will show how to set everything up in Blender and make a great showpiece.

Дякую за відео! Задумався аби додати Коат у свій робочий процес
Спасибо!
занятный дизайн. такое космическое блюдце.
Anton - thank you for posting such stuff. Inspiring to start using 3dcoat. ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)
Happy New Year
awesome stuff. how are you controlling the depth on those panel lines (2:30) with vox hide? When I try the on-plane option with those settings I don't get depth like that.
its using either on plane feature but also if you press Ctrl and Middle Mouse Wheel you can control depth, but you need to activate at the bottom of the blob tool panel, there's a dropdown menu there
I wish I could wrap my head around 3dCoat - tried to get into it twice but failed miserably haha
I'm working on proper introduction course now :)
Awesome! What is your workflow and tools for refining jagged edges, keeping the shape and gesture? If you want to upres and finalize the model without smoothing too much.
It’s the master himself!!🙌
@@petrutraileanu2513 haha, do you mean me? 😅
Well, one way to go about it is to do a dirty sketch and then recreate in blender using box cutter. Another way which I did in the big tutorial is to recreate at much higher polycount. So there is no real solution in the end
@@grandert yes you!😂your work is great!!
@@petrutraileanu2513 thank you! 🙏🏻
Do you design on the fly in 3dcoat or do you have some sort of basic design sketch to start with cause I always have a problem design on the fly, am still trying this approach, but failed many times...
I do doodle on paper a little bit. Very basic shapes like circles for the ship and lines for antennas. Like 2x2 cm doodle
when we getting those houdini videos buddy
Did I mention about doing them? :) I'm digging in Houdini. I'm considering to do a separate channel about Houdini since procedural systems are so different from my 3d coat - blender - unreal stuff. But let's see if I get time
