- This video is how I combine some of the AMACO glazes. I did 3 coats of Honey Flux, Ancient Jasper and Textured Turquoise and the finished products had been fired at cone 6 with a 6 minutes hold.

Beautiful mugs. Cant wait to try this combo. Thanks for showing. Have you ever fired this combo at cone 5 with a 12 minute hold?
Thanks and no, I have not fired anything at cone 5.
Nice job cleaning up that foot.
❤❤❤ I have had similar results with Spectrum's Glacier, HF and AJ
Question, food safe when layered on rim? Thank you 😊
What do you mean by 6 minute hold please? Your work is beautiful!
Those mugs are beautiful!!💕
Which Dremel attachment did you use for smoothing?
That is the dremel 85422 silicon carbide grinding stone.
@@RJMPottery thank you so much!! You guys do such nice work!!
@@daniellesielschott2950 thank you
Gorgeous!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ what cone do you fire to?
cone 6 with 6 minutes hold
Could I put wax resist around the bottom of the mug, to stop the glazing dripping too far?
I’m curious how many of these mugs you are able to glaze with a single pint or jar of honey flux for example. With 3 coats inside and 3 outside…. Will you be able to do 10 mugs? More? I’m just trying to decide how much to order of the base glazes like honey or birch. Thanks!!
I just did this combination today and I was able to do 9 mugs, 3 coats inside and 3 coats outside. I did a 10th mug but I needed one more coat to complete the inside, maybe it also depends on how thick you glaze and how big your mugs are.
What exactly does the hold at the end do? E.g if it is 5' or 10' minutes?
Where can I buy the grinder that is on the wheel? I love your glaze combinations
it is from DiamondCore Tools and thanks for watching
I’m curious about the 12” Diamond Grinding disc.
*Are you using this on the pottery wheel?
*If so, are there holes on the bottom for the bat pins?
*If no holes, how do you keep it attached?
*What grit do you recommend?
Where can I find one?
Your bottom of the mugs looked as though there were still some sheen left!
Thanks in Advance!!!
I have a similar setup in my studio. I bought an 8" disc from DiamondCore Tools and I had a spare 12" plastic bat handy. The disc comes with an adhesive backing. Attach the plastic bat to the wheel, draw an 8" circle on it for centering, then attach the disc to the bat. I chose the 8" because it works for what I make and the 12" is twice the price. Remember to always use water when grinding. Hope this helped.
@@genboomxerwhat grit please?
@@cynthiabicknase4378 120 grit.
what brand is the ancient cooper?
What does it mean “with a 6 minute hold”?
If the mug wasn’t curvy would it have the same effect
Probably the same effect but got to be careful since it will run more.
Is that white color before the glaze undercoat? If so, what type? Thanks
base coat is honey flux
Okk, so the base coat is honey Flux, which seats directly on the clay right?
@@chrisasarah2673 yes, I do 3 coats
Thank you so much, so do you apply it on raw clay, or already burnt clay?... Sorry for over asking, wanna try it out first at home, then make it a business. Thank you.
@@chrisasarah2673 I glaze my pottery after bisque firing at cone 04 then glaze fire them at cone 6
What kind of clay did you use?
Number 3 Stoneware from Minnesota Clay
These Glazes all run. Not safe for electric Kiln
