I need a full acoustic album. Holy smokes this is so so so so beautiful.
They are good at disguising powerful deep lyrics behind upbeat melodies. But when they strip it all away you’re smacked with just a whole new meaning and vision. Ya have to sit back for a second in awe. Like atm when they get the whole crowd singing ‘walking the wire’ acapella it’s the BEST feeling. So many voices with powerful lyrics.
Take ‘the fall’ for example. When they sing that stripped back it TAKES MY BREATH AWAY but it’s hidden behind an upbeat tempo.

so i was looking through old imagine dragons videos and saw the smoke + mirrors album preview and it is like 6 yrs old or something but literally no comment said shots was their favorite song.... now i think the opinions changed in the favor of shots but this song is so awe inspiring in my opinion. it is that song that i listen in my head before i make a decision and think “will i be sorry i did this” and usually it helps me make the right decisions. i hope this song will never die so the next generation of humans can listen and think “this is a good song”
