I don't understand why this movie received so much negativity. This seems pretty good. Sure, Tom Hiddleston is no Hank Williams, but he sings his songs quite well.
The script was awful. You don’t start telling a story in the middle (unless you’re Tarantino). Tom and Elizabeth were so good, and Cherry Jones is always great in everything she does, but even they couldn’t save this film. I will never forgive Marc Abraham for this. Tom worked so hard getting his portrayal of Hank right. He deserved better.

The script was awful. You don’t start telling a story in the middle (unless you’re Tarantino). Tom and Elizabeth were so good, and Cherry Jones is always great in everything she does, but even they couldn’t save this film. I will never forgive Marc Abraham for this. Tom worked so hard getting his portrayal of Hank right. He deserved better.
